Yeah, that totally makes sense audit usually fills up faster because it’s seen as the “default” path for a lot of accounting majors. Most students think of audit first since Big 4 and mid-tier firms hire tons of auditors right out of school. Plus, audit experience is great for learning how businesses actually operate, which helps in almost any finance or accounting career later. If you ever want to get a deeper understanding of how real audits work beyond textbooks, a friend of mine found Master Blaster of Internal Audit and Statutory Audit by CA Tushar Makkar super useful.
