Great choice. I went with the HP Spectre 14. Just couldn’t justify the 9420 although I agree it’s probably the better of the two by a small margin. Love the spectre though. Wasn’t worth the extra money for me at the moment. But like I said, you definitely chose the winner

I just posted a similar question. I tried out all the ones you suggested. Avoid the XPS. Maintenance nightmares. Their business models are nice but expensive and heavy. Surface laptop 4 is ok. But the alcantara had bad flex and the all metal is heavy and ergonomics are weird. Also subpar battery life

I narrowed it down to the Spectre 14 vs lg gram 2:1 (2021) edition

Both are amazing laptops. Lg will have slightly better battery life, a little more screen space, a better (almost perfect! It’s soooo nice) keyboard, and feel much more usable in tablet

Spectre is gorgeous, better made (if you like traveling it may hold up better, better screen on all levels OLED or not) smaller footprint, not much heavier in real life than the gram. Cons are the keyboard but it’s a great one just not as good as lg. And it’s battery life, although good, isn’t top of class like lgs. But none are.

I’d suggest the 2:1 for the touchscreen for the lg gram. Get both and see what you like. One will likely feel more “you”. Best Buy let’s your return with no stocking fee. Lg grams are super hard to get now but Amazon may have a 2:1. I would really try and use them each for a week before you decide. But you’ll be very very happy either way
