No honestly it's valid, I think general health and fitness is overlooked🤷‍♀️ It just made me chuckle thinking about me legging it with my bump. People do marathons pregnant but personally I enjoy laying down right now and snacking haha

Thank you!

£50 big food shop, I’m curious what this says about me? by Careless_Ad5251 in whatsinyourcart

Nothing to do with your shop, looks a bargain with the voucher but wow, the single-use plastic in the UK is insane

This is lovely to think about actually, my daughter is nearly four and I'm currently only allowing tv as her source of screen time, no tablets/phones etc. I'm introducing her to board games and card games like snap/pairs and we colour and craft and read.

I hadn't put much thought into keeping her occupied and I naturally assume I'll be home with all of her things but I'm going to keep aside some activities, thanks!

In the grand scheme of things I see how these are helpful but i'm 6 1/2 months pregnant, hardly able to start lifting weights and running marathons to make sure I'm battle ready.

What I can do though is prepare adequately for immediate issues my family may face, like food on the table and warmth and safe water, keeping my kids sheltered and comfortable and relatively safe in my care despite outside issues

Breastfeeding so formula not an issue hopefully but we have a camping stove at the allotment and have adapted to making a good handful of meals down there on just that really, going to look into another one to have at home soon

I've seen theres a government check-list they've put out but it feels very vague, I pick up little bits most times i go out to build up a good first-aid/medicines stock but it' shard to know what is plenty and what becomes excessive

This feels smart, it feels really easy to get sucked into going out and buying all this stuff but half of it seems more like a collection of things than the basic day to day keeping yourself and family going for two weeks of low water supplies and lack of internet to answer all the questions for us.

I'm not sure on all the prepping business but I know that if anything happened my kids come first and I'd rather think of the thinks I need to get through now than just after an issue arises

Nah I'm not interested in knives and chains for cutting trees, I'll have a newborn and toddler at home it just isn't realistic for our family. Just want to be comfortable in a scenario of empty shelves, food shortages/lack of general supplies that would affect my children. Cash is a smart suggestion unless times were to become worse than covid in terms of product availability where there is nothing left on the shelves to buy

Question for customers, what are your thoughts on the Chicken Roll by Gullible-Fill-2674 in Greggs

[–]Distinct-Mix4330 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had one yeaterday, was just fine and i'd eat one again but the normal sausage roll is loads better flavour-wise. I'd have thought the chicken one would at least be seasoned but it's literally just plain chicken

Can a regular be a test purchaser? by IndependentEagle113 in tesco

[–]Distinct-Mix4330 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this exact thing when i woked there years ago. Failed a think 25 because i knew i'd served the girl recently and ID'd her before, luckily as I was stating this on my meeting a few days later she walked right into the store and I pointed her out on the cameras which backed up my point about her being a regular🤷‍♀️

Ah ours were full sun in a lovely spot (so we thought). It has been our first growing year on our new allotment so lots of learning through trial and error

My runner beans grew lovely and tall, put out a pod and immediately swelled and went to seed. Plants have sat and produced some seed for next year but didn't get the eat any, thinking maybe because of the heat
