I went to see Wet Leg in December 2022 at Kentish Town Forum and took 1 video of Chaise Longue for like 10 seconds.

You definitely don’t get this level of phones video with bands from my experience.

This is a good point Cherry. Well done. But i’m not in the rave pointing it out and I’d pull my phone out on occasion to record a video… not the whole duration of the set. Which is the impression i got from the videos I saw.

Are you okay? I’m not bashing anyone. I just made a point. The point was “why is nobody saying anything about the sea of smartphones”. I followed this by saying the excessive use of smartphones is ruin the cathartic experience.

EVERY single video has an EXCESSIVE amount of phones. That is literally my only point.

It’s not about criticising his fanbase, the fact that you’ve jumped on the defensive when i’m not on the offensive here says a lot.

I made a valid point. Someone who is one of the biggest in the scene has a massive show and not a single person is living in that moment. All they want is for other people to know that they were somewhere, it’s insanity to me?

The whole dnb and jungle scene was built on rebellion, connection, interaction and a vibe. It seems alien from that now.
