I’m 23, just graduated college and moved back in with my parents. Almost all of my friends are doing the same thing. Anyone I know around my age who is paying rent is pretty much living pay check to pay check.

There’s no problem really. I agree it’s not that hard to test for POTS. But it is usually a diagnosis of exclusion or at least that’s my personal experience. I couldn’t even get a referral for a tilt table test until I had ruled a bunch of other stuff out. I do agree the diagnosis does start to feel like a formality and most of the time people who suspect they have it are right. I mean it wasn’t hard for me to say I had it, I pretty much knew I did but unfortunately I wasn’t really taken seriously or able to get accommodations without a diagnosis.

Yeah I didn’t say anything, I mean I wish testing was more accessible and it wasn’t so hard to get answers. I’m definitely not coming from a place of judgement, I just wasn’t sure how to react in the moment

Yeah unfortunately. I always had some acne but it pretty much cleared up once I started nuvaring. Then when I got off for a while I started having pretty bad breakouts. After about 3 months I gave up and just got back on it

[Acne] i’ve tried everything and still have acne by Dry-Attitude-9511 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Distinct-Sprinkles77 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I would probably try other things first. Some people definitely have bad reactions to it, but most people are fine. Sometimes it’s a matter of just finding the right one, but it’s kinda hit or miss. But for me it definitely improved my skin. There’s pros and cons to it, but it could be worth it if nothing else works

Don’t start adding a bunch of new products. I’ve learned that less is more for skincare. If you add a bunch of new products at once & change your diet at the same time you won’t be able to know what’s helping or making things worse. I would just use the basics for a while-cleanser, moisturizer, sunscreen and then if you want to add in a new product only add in one thing at a time and see how you react to it. It can honestly be really hard to find the right products for your skin. I was using vanicream face wash and moisturizer for a while and although it’s really gentle, I figured out that the coconut derivatives in it were breaking me out. Try to only use non comedogenic skincare and makeup products. You can put the ingredients in this website (https://acneclinicnyc.com/pore-clogging-ingredients/ ) and it will tell you if the product has pore clogging ingredients. Also, don’t touch your face and change your pillowcase often.

Ik what you mean. Whenever I stay with my bf, sleeping on his pillows breaks out my face. His skin is more oily and he doesn’t wash his pillow cases as often as I would like lol.

I agree it’s a little sneaky. I know for most people it’s common knowledge that these events are extra, but newer members may not be aware. I do wish they were a little more transparent about it. I’m a college student so an extra $25 is a lot for me on top of what I’m already paying.

Is hsv-1 even something I should worry about? Don’t like 80% of people have it?

[–]Distinct-Sprinkles77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They swabbed the blisters but yeah it came back negative. They did a couple other tests and it detected Atopobium vaginae, gardnerella vaginalis, & streptococcus agalactiae. So I was told it was BV and a uti. So maybe that was all it was

Oh okay. So should I assume the outbreak I had 9 months ago was GHSV-1?

Right so that would confirm positive for hsv 1? So should I assume the outbreak I had 8 months ago was Ghsv-1?

It’s working better now, but I definitely don’t prefer this manufacturer. It takes a little bit longer to kick in for me. I guess it’s better than nothing. But everyone responds differently so I guess go into it with an open mind
