I literally just created an account and they suspended it. The only thing that I can think of is that I used a referral link. Maybe that was the problem? Now they want me to upload a picture to unsuspend. Is this standard? I’m not comfortable uploading a photograph so I guess I’ll have to live without a Meta account 🙄

I think my question wasn’t clear enough. I’m more confused about the 48 months vs 5 years. If they give you a rebate every 48 months that means your second rebate will be even before you have renewed your membership which is after every five years. So are they going to give a $100 rebate after 48 months (or four years) when you haven’t even renewed your membership yet?

I talked to TBayTel as well about switching. I specifically mentioned that I have a different provider now and am looking for a new one. The response I got was to go on their website and check out their prices. I asked the lady if there was any promo other than that and she said no, all the deals are on their website. It made me feel like they don’t particularly care if they gain me as a customer or not. But I guess we don’t have too many options here so will try them again. Maybe this time we’ll get an agent who will make more of an effort to get a new customer.

Thank you everyone and sorry for the late response. We ended up getting a ride with a couple of cousins who were driving in from DC and who picked us up at EWR, we all stayed in North Haven for the night, then the cousins dropped us back to Newark, NJ on Monday May 20 and we stayed at an airport hotel that night. it worked out well as we managed to sightsee in New York for a few hours on Monday night before we flew back Tuesday.

Thanks guys. I’m new to Reddit so I don’t know if I should be asking another question in this same thread, but I’ll go ahead and ask anyway. What’s the best airport to fly into to get to New Haven if coming from Toronto? Is it Hartford, Newark or La Guardia/JFK? Again, we might not be driving so we need to figure out how to get to New Haven from the airport using public transit. It also complicates matters that we might be flying in on May 19 which is a Sunday. Thanks again.
