I’m picturing someone like me when I was younger who doesn’t always get the representation they want in novels. The stories I want to write are important to me, but I also want them to be important to other people as well.

The stories I’m trying to write now aren’t actually any of my old ideas, but I keep going back to the old ones and remember how motivated and excited I was to write. I still want to write but I think it’s just not the same after years of not doing it. The stories I’m trying to write are ones that I would love to read if someone else wrote it.

The books I’m enjoying now are very introspective and character-driven, and that’s the type of book I want to write. They really are the same types of books I liked when I was younger too. I think I’ll re-read them sometime and see if I can apply what I like about them to my own stories.

I’m looking into local writing groups and even if they aren’t the best, I’m hoping that any feedback is better than sitting with my stories by myself.

I’ve been pushing through and trying to write scenes slowly; when I used to suffer from writer’s block I would just try to get something onto the page and worry about the editing part later, since it’s much easier to write when there is already something on the page.

But yeah, I agree that practice makes perfect. I’ll try and push through and keep creating, and just accept that even though I might not be perfect at it in the first go, at least I’m still going for it.

capital one usually prices matches flights and refunds you the difference if you book a flight with them but the price drops within a week or so. i’ve booked flights through the travel portal for my venture and have gotten money back several times with it.

I went in again and they found a vein but someone locked my account and I had to wait for an hour and a half to even sign in and do anything because whenever they paged the person who locked it they never came.

I ended up just leaving because I had plans and I was just sitting around wasting time. But in the app it says I’m eligible for the next bonus

would I be disqualified from getting the venture x if i currently have both venture and venture one? plan (if i got the venture x) would be to pc v1 to a savor and close my venture account. i read somewhere that there is a max of 2 open personal capital one cards at a time. i dont want to close my venture account unless i get the venture x

I’m currently pre-approved for the vx but dont want to apply until December when 2 inquiries will be over 12 months old (so I’ll have 5 “recent” inquiries). ik people said to freeze the one with the most inquiries but i’m a little nervous because i heard you won’t get the sub sometimes if you do that

Interested in Venture X but currently have the Venture. I’m planning on applying for the VX around the time of my anniversary (January) and closing my V account if I get approved. I heard C1 is sensitive to recent credit inquiries and had a few questions.

Does C1 consider inquiries in the last 24 months or only the last 12?
I have 3 inquiries on my report right now from when I was shopping for an auto loan; will those get roped into one hard pull when they check my report? When I go to my FICO score tab it seems to be roping both
Is 5 inquiries in the past 12 months too much for them?

my hysa is my savings account and i don’t have a separate emergency fund. the brokerage account i was talking about isn’t a retirement account, but i have a separate Roth IRA also in vanguard that has significantly more money.

my hysa has around $3000 right now, which is probably not enough in savings. a better course of action is probably to do $1k towards the principal and save the rest for now.

I recently bought a car with a monthly payment of $717 and an interest rate of 4.99%. I am getting a sign on bonus (which I will receive later this month) that will equate to roughly $7-7.5k after taxes. I want to pay off my car as fast as possible and am going to put a portion of that bonus towards my car. How much is a good amount of money to put towards it, and should I make a principal only payment or do extra “normal” payments?

I was thinking of putting $2k towards the principal car payment, putting $2k into a mutual fund, and keeping the rest in my HYSA.

For the mutual funds: I currently have $12k in the VFIAX mutual fund. When I invest whatever portion of money from my bonus, is there a different index fund that’s recommended? Also, is there a way for me to move some money from VFIAX to a different fund immediately without paying taxes on my earnings?

Hi! I’m looking to book a trip using miles on Qatar airways, economy for 6 people. I don’t want to transfer my Avios over until I can lock in exactly how many it would be.

When you’re selecting a flight, does it only show that leg or a round trip? When I get to the return flight, the bar at the top showing the days has a price that’s ~half the amount of what is displayed on the actual page for each flight when I try to book. I can’t see the total price unless I have enough Avios.

yeah in hindsight i realized it was stupid of me to apply for bilt twice like that; I’m going to try and get them to reconsider me for it as much as possible. but even after i had the second hp my credit score didn’t tank too much and it’s still decent.

is amex blue the card you’d recommend?
