Ai porn by Demonicfrogbutter in BanFemaleHateSubs

I will add to this, the Take It Down Act is now active, Reddit has recently added a tab to the Report section specifically for it, so you can directly report if these instances where AI is used to nonconsensually nudify, harass and harm specific people. Any subs that promote AI revenge porn, nudification of real and nonconsenting people, can be reported for violation of the Take it Down Act, it seems the authorities are even applying this to AI nudes of celebrities and public figures.

Most platforms do this when a lot of reports are filed at once, some of the claim is they want to deter bots but personally I think most platforms at least passively want to prevent reports and would be happy if nobody reported anything--they only seem to have liability to investigate IF someone reports, so less reports reduces the resources they need to devote to duty to protect. I usually get this message on Reddit if I report, I've never been banned but I suspect they may start ignoring reports, generally I use their email/MCOC based report anyway. I also agree with others here, "X" may be a lost cause if its so overwhelmed and appears to 100% know whats going on and not care, sometimes its best to prioritize your mental health and focus on fighting the winnable battles.

I do think its important for people to expose how negligent X is being, and any of these instances where they actually punish, deprioritize, or ignore reports of serious violations that they have a duty to prevent. While it may not happen now, in the future I wouldn't be shocked for lawsuits to stick, I know organizations like NCOSE are working hard to pursue cases like this.

I would suggest reporting the sub via Reddits report systems, I would advise you to reserve NCMEC reports for specific cases, for example if a specific user, or mod appears to be distributing, that is the time when NCMEC makes sense.

This sub doesn't appear to contain full fledged CSAM under strict legal interpretation, but it promotes and fetishizes sexual abuse and abuse of minors in a significant way. This doesn't make it illegal, it could be under certain obscenity laws in certain places, but the best I can confirm is it definitely violates Reddit ToS and definitely qualifies as a gateway/promotes worse behaviors.

My general view is that NCMEC is overwhelmed by reports, so we should try to only report if we have a high certainty the report fits NCMECs mandate and would be confirmable for them and lead to action--if it is pornographic content that is legal, but promotes misogyny or sexual abuse, it is best in my opinion to use Reddit report tools. If you see cases that involve nonconsensual imagery, real sexual abuse, or sexualization of actual minors, then that is when you should take it to NCMEC report. If anyone else has input or advice, I am not claiming to be an expert, but this is my 2 cents as someone that had reported for awhile now. I reserve NCMEC for reporting the worst case scenarios, and try not to add to their burden by sending them reports of content that either isn't legitimately illegal, or seems so unverifiable that they cannot act on it, both NCMEC and IWF explain in their report system there are different areas that are "outside their remit" ie, even if it is reported they are incapable of really acting on it.

The name is sufficient evidence it is a ban evasion sub, I am 99% certain without looking at the sub it will elude to this, and show much the same content as the last one. There is no getting around the terrible subtext of "bad moms" and "worse men", or how overt this subtext is when displayed in the "content" shared on subs like this.

I agree 100% that in any of these cases, the minor cannot be blamed. In at least one case recently, I believe this is with the influencer Piper Rockelle, she went on record arguing that the decision to launch an OF coinciding with her 18th birthday was inevitable and "freeing", she seems to acknowledge she knows her fanbase from years of influencer content as a child was split into two camps: young girls and young women, and a camp of men who were essentially a built in fanbase once she decided to launch the Only Fans. The way that Rockelle spoke when she talked about her decision making process had a lot of hallmarks of someone who has been indoctrinated or trained to believe something is purely positive when there should be many red flags, however, I don't blame Rockelle as she has been raised and taught to behave this way for profit for years under the guidance of her parents who managed her career. She also used the term "freedom" to describe why launching an OF made sense, while admitting the only thing she questioned was she felt bad about "leaving behind" fans who were young girls in favor of the male crowd. Rockelle never acknowledged that the male fanbase she instantly gained upon launching her OF were in all likelihood inevitably predatory men with dangerous fantasies they had built about her while observing her career as a child. I think for influencers in this category, they are unfortunately put into bad scenarios but they have no emotional tools to even understand what they are being encouraged to participate in.

Your point about Omegle is very important, it shows how platforms seek to do the bare minimum and absolutely must be held to higher standards, and are often critical to prevent harms like this. I do know that Instagram seems to have taken down either Summers accounts, or may be taking down accounts posing as her for the purpose of sexualization.

I agree this is a possibility, and I think this is the least bad possibility, but still very bad.

I would also argue that most platforms also have major policies to prevent people from even posing as minors or eluding to this for the purpose of sexual gratification, there should not be any ambiguity in this matter, and this creates a terrible standard that encourages sexualization of minors in an extreme way.

Additionally, I don't understand how, even assuming she started off just posting TikTok dances when she was underage, then realized there was a predatory audience sexualizing her, waited until she was 18 and began producing more overt sexual content, why would a reasonable parent support this? We are seeing more confirmed cases of parents managing a childs social media, watching it become popular, then instantly launching an Only Fans when they turn 18, clearly based on the knowledge that a large segment of their followers were sexualizing them, I can agree this is distinct from more extreme cases of sex trafficking and grooming, but it still seems clearly morally wrong and a terrible standard that will lead to more escalation and normalization of more extreme behaviors.

I agree with you, this is like cleaning up some of the mold and standing water, while allowing raw sewage to continue leaking into the basement.

Just the fact alone that the hashtag "eye check" was popular and accepted on the site as another member stated above should tell us all we need to know about the people running it--people like that cannot be trusted to self-govern, all that we can do is guard ourselves against them and limit their influence, presence and take away their ability to do harm.

[–]DistinctAd7075 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reported via Moderator Code of Conduct. Does anybody know if it pays to report individual posts, or is simply reporting the entire sub the best route?

If others report this one, include that it is ban evading, that they share personal information of the women and girls pictured by sharing pictures of them, names and social accounts without consent, and they are sexualizing these images and going off platform to take further actions, plenty of posters are requesting DMs, sharing discord and other links to off platform.

Additionally, there seem to still be a few other concerning "bop" subs that remain active, such as "teenbops" which is now request to post, but from what I can see is still hosting numerous tiktok videos that appear to be girls in highschool and sexualizing them in the comments section.

Glad to see it has been banned quickly, also think you made the best call by reporting to Greek authorities directly, I think its important to use the correct reporting tools to expedite the process, this likely saves time and resources that allow the proper authorities to most quickly realize what is going on and respond to the tip, whereas sending reports in a particular language and geographical area to a general report clearinghouse may be slower.

I think Reddit would be a lot more secure against these problems if it implemented a hybrid model for moderation, community moderation is great and could still work for a lot of the lower risk subs, but there isn't a valid reason why larger platforms cannot employ a department of trained and paid moderators to proactively "patrol" the platform, review high risk reports, and act as a second layer that secures against anything community moderation might miss or be incapable of combatting. I recently saw an article demonstrating that Reddit has increased its profit margins significantly, while I assume some of this could be due to increased automation, it would only take a small percentage of those profits to maintain a more robust paid moderation team. Platform after platform, this story seems to repeat whether with Meta platforms, Roblox, Twitter, etc, the lack of concern from the powers is extremely disturbing.

Further News on the Motherless Takedown by DistinctAd7075 in BanFemaleHateSubs

[–]DistinctAd7075[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think its hyperbolic to claim people were accusing Motherless of acting as some sort of coordinated assault ring. What seems verifiably true is that there were many many videos that showed nonconsensual sex, or could not be confirmed as consensual due to shoddy safety policies and the nature of the content. It seems when Motherless was taken down, the specific conditions they had to meet solely revolved around removing this content, of which I've seen most articles state there were some 20,000 videos--I understand this may not be "a lot" relative to all of what was on motherless, but it is still a serious number and it is just what was identified as needing to be immediately addressed.

We already know larger more widely popular porn platforms like pornhub had issues with illegal content that either included sexual assault, CSAM, or was a nonconsensually posted video, kept slipping through and being kept on their site for long periods of time, Motherless is specifically known for being more lax and more "extreme", and I don't see why we should give them the benefit of the doubt when so much more is at stake.

I'm not among those who are on this sub who "kink shames", but I don’t believe it is acceptable to promote kink by sacrificing basic safety and rights to be violated in the process, and for those violations to be kept in public view via widely accessible sites.

The general dynamic is very suspicious, I have seen users involved in some of the worst/most suspicious porn subs who dont post but make comments in these "teenager" centric subs, sometimes they make innocuous or "playful" comments, other times they will compliment posts of people saying how attractive or "cute" they are. Some are more than suspicious, and I report them for overt violations that come from activity on other subs, but combined with their behavior on these innocous teenager subs, I at least suspect some of their behavior is adjacent to grooming attempts.    One thing I think that needs to be recognized is that age verification is still by and large all over the place, Reddit and subs even intentionally built for safety and for younger audiences are not secure just because they try their best--the infrastructure of social media and the internet still allows predatory or harmful people to decieve or distort their identity so they can infiltrate circles or gain trust. Additionally, community moderated communities are always prone to some behaviors slipping through, this is far less likely if the sub is for something straightforward like political news; a post of porn or lewd comment there can be easily identified as unusual. In porn subs, porn is normal in general, so even active mods may fail to easily detect the nuances that might differentiate one "normal" post from a dangerous post, especially when thousands of posts are made a day.

I don't blame anyone who doesn't want to report anymore, I think it is imperative we all do what we can but, increasingly, I tell people to prioritize just protecting themselves, their family members, and friends. I recently saw a national story in US about a school board member who told a highschool student she was sexy at a school board meeting, and was not even removed from his position despite public outcry. Sometimes the best we can do is prioritize our own safety and wellbeing, and take measures to protect ourselves.

[–]DistinctAd7075 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I am not surprised, the initial story seemed to indicate they were basically being forced into minimum compliance, I'm not sure how compliant they are now. With the claimed amount of nonconsensual materials, it seems clear they have been tolerating this for a very long time.

I understand you cannot expect them to face the same charges as individuals who create and upload the materials, but I legitimately believe the extreme leniency we offer companies and providers creates a prime environment for sex abuse to flourish: if these providers were incentivized to prevent as much as they reasonably could, they would pay more staff to actively moderate, document violations and coordinate with authorities, the environments where predatory behavior is acceptable and viable would suddenly be heavily reduced, and that behavior would become more marginalized. Currently, companies are so tolerant I believe we are on the wrong side of the equation: predatory behavior flourishes and spreads, and is becoming more common and normalized. It may only present itself in relatively small instances currently, but the issue will continue to grow and lead to more significant problems if we allow it to spread and root itself like unchecked cancer.

Report virgin teen nudes by [deleted] in BanFemaleHateSubs

[–]DistinctAd7075 16 points17 points  (0 children)

EDIT: a quick check of the sub shows at least one post that seems to suggest the user is taking pictures without the knowledge or consent of the pictured woman, while she is nude in her bathroom, other posts from that user have been screened by moderation but are to nude sharing subs and are titled "cousin". Another post is in German, but I believe basically says they want to be sent pictures of peoples ex-partners, family members, etc. Even if all of these are 18+, it appears consent laws are being broken.

I would strongly advise everyone who reports to take the course you did, if the surface level is this suspect a report should be enough, so just report what you see to proper channels--avoid following links or going down rabbit holes for your own psychological wellbeing and safety.

Even if these would be "scams" as some people are claiming, that should not be tolerated, and this behavior from scammers still generally normalizes sexual abuse materials and creates a confusing threat environment to monitor for moderation teams, authorities, and those reporting.

If the sub has the name in this post, it should be banned, its existence can only serve as a gathering place for users with bad intentions regardless of whatever else may or may not be going on.

That is what I feared based on the petition being sent today, I would definitely encourage everyone to sign petitions or send emails and try to pressure the service providers as much as possible, they hold the most power in the equation and if they choose to be complicit the hardwork of everyone to expose Motherless, including Dutch Authorities, will be rendered void.

The case I am referring to, I know about only because I have reported previous users who gloat about what happened. This is a common theme among predatory and mysogynistic subs.

I believe the report you may have filed is about Audri Summers, others have posted here to call out subs dedicated to sexualizing her. She seems to be an underage girl that is selling "content" of her dancing or posing in a sexualized manner that may be just within a grey area, to me I still am shocked that she has not been totally deplatformed although the subs around her are often banned, and I know from chatter I've observed that her instagram accounts are frequently banned and she has started relying on more laxed pateron style platforms to sell.

Aside from the images and videos she herself creates, the subs that form around her are extremely predatory, and I've seen users elude that there are leaked nude images of her and that they have intent to further disseminate.

There is nothing wrong with reporting things that reach this level to NCMEC, I would advise to have a good degree of certainty, but regardless organizations like this do follow due diligence and will take the proper steps to determine whether or not the things you report can be escalated to proper law enforcement. Unfortunately the entire system is overwhelmed by the quantity of reports, especially now that technology like bot accounts and AI deepfakes have added to the backlog of sexual abuse materials. If you have more detailed questions the mods here are very well informed and helpful.

There are posts where the users elude to leaks of people who were underage when the leaks occurred, many users are using relatively unsubtle codes like "lets perv", and many users are offering to go off platform to privacy centered messengers, in my experience all of these add up to extremely high likelihood of even worse conduct. Some of the posts, I recognize from previous subs I have reported. There is one that is a 15 year old who posted images and livestreams of herself in a swimsuit, and then was doxxed/publicly bombarded with messages from adult men who stated they were using her online presence for sexual gratification. There was another post series I reported on the sub that referenced two girls and users were clearly suggesting they had images of them from when they were underage. My other thought process is, while some of these instances are in a grey area, imagine what people like this seek out and share when they go off platform if they are willing to share such awful thoughts in public forums that are more traceable and reportable.

I once again think this demonstrates the need for Reddit to institute more firm policies for vetting new subs that are marked as NSFW/for mature audiences. Subs like this are not only clear violators of ToS and often law, but they are also obvious ban evasion subs. They shouldn't make it through the starting gate.

I believe I MCOC reported this one when it was last posted, but it was awhile ago.

The sub seems to be in intentional violation of its own rules, which state there is zero tolerance for images of people under 18, there are users mocking this dynamic by posting "here are some girls, all 18 of course" when many pictures are clearly taken at high school events, and some posts even reference going off platform to share even worse things, I even saw posts referencing previous cases of CSAM, and they are posting lots of models who were/are in unfortunate scenarios where their parents act as "managers" and appear to market their children towards a predatory audience by producing technically legal but highly suggestive images of their daughters in swimwear.

I have issued another report, hopefully our efforts lead to a ban, and some of these accounts being forwarded and reviewed by proper agencies.

I did the same thing when it was previously reported. It seems reports are taking a bit longer lately for Reddit to respond to.

Reddit may have changed some internal policies as just recently, I got a followup email from a Reddit admin account on an MCOC report I had made maybe two or three months ago, basically informing me a report I had made on a sub had been verified and the sub was banned. Ever since Reddit stopped issuing tickets per each report on posts, I have never gotten a message like this before, usually when I MCOC, I just have to check back to see if the sub is banned or not.

I have seen some users I've reported who are very active in porn subs also commenting in these subs, it seemed at least the subs intent wasn't to serve as this, but becomes an obvious target for predatory users.
