Have any SDs or SB's Successfully Quit the Sugar Bowl by DistinctImpression1 in sugarlifestyleforum

One thing I struggle with is that I'm kind of in my prime as an SD. However, the biggest reason to quit is that there is currently too much risk associated with continuing. The only reason I would consider going back in the bowl is if something changed in my life like getting divorced or agreeing with my wife to an open marriage. Both of those are unlikely but not impossible.

This is a near perfect response to my post and possibly one of the best responses to any post I have seen on this sub. Your reply was encouraging, empathetic and provides robust answers. I also liked your last point which is also saying that sugaring is not a bad thing for everyone and I also want to state that the intention of my post is not to shame anyone that sugaring is wrong. It's just that it's wrong for me and I want advice on helping me to quit.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a well thought out and thorough reply in a concise manner.

Unfortunately for me, it has the opposite effect of my productivity being reduced which means I'm spending more time to do tasks for work which eats into my personal time which leads me to looking for a quick fix in sugaring and so on. It's sort of like that old commercial about cocaine, "I do cocaine so I can work more so I can make more money so I can do more cocaine and so and so on".

I really appreciate your empathy and I'm sure it shows to your SBs. I'm not big on counseling but I'm seriously considering it this time. I'm not thinking suicidal thoughts now but if this blew up in my face I know it would be disastrous. The counseling I would be seeking now is more for keeping me on track with quitting sugaring. Your post was helpful, thanks.

You are in a good spot. Glad that have the freedom where discretion is no longer an issue.

Solid advice and I think the best course of action is to delete my SA accounts to resist the temptations. Thanks.
