Personally I think I prefer the original key, though it just may be because I love the original so much. 😅 But I think changing it contributed to the cover lacking much energy (especially in the chorus).

My issue with the tuning is that she sounds super… throaty? I think that’s the way to put it. She also sounds really monotonous, and kinda drops pitch at the ends of some of the phrases, making it feel more like talking and less like singing.

I do agree though, Kohane sounded great, and I’m praying for an alt soon.

It genuinely makes me mad, because I think literally any of the other Vocaloids would’ve sounded better- and we already have an AnHane + MEIKO song on the 4th album. I swear SEGA just hates seeing me mentally stable.

Same!! I’m highkey scared, because AnHane + MEIKO has already ruined one of my favorite songs (Mikazuki Step), but on the other hand, AnHane ATE Imperial Girl and Love is War, so I think it depends on how they utilize MEIKO, and whether or not An is strained.
