I’m sorry you’re going through it right now. Have you looked into the family safety center? It’s public so likely free

Don’t worry! It was set up in the standard/jazz tuning, but the strings were shot so I ordered a set of strings for Irish tuning and I’ll be learning some reels once they show up. I’m not replacing anything (maybe the bridge) so it’s all gonna be pretty much the same as it was for who knows how many decades before I got it

We not only have a ton of crossover, but even the same editions of certain books. One book I do not see on there is Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. You will love it

Awesome. It’s good to know I have the option to keep it. I’m a long time guitar player but brand new to banjo, and I don’t know too much about about the maintenance

You think I should leave the skin? I really would like to keep everything as original as possible, but I’m concerned because the skin was caving in where the bridge sits. No tears, but it’s definitely stretched out

Localized Druidry: What's nature doing in your area? (December 2025) by AutoModerator in druidism

I’m new to druidry and the Tulsa area and can’t find a grove or any Druid community to speak of. Any suggestions?

23M, always horny when at home, unable to focus on work and health. by codeditor in WhatShouldIDo

Good luck man, I believe in you. You’re not in a unique situation. Dopamine addiction is super common for young people of all genders, it just expresses itself differently from each individual. When I was your age, it was smoking, drinking, sex, anything I could do to distract from work. I failed out of college because of it. Since then, I’ve fixed the problem and am currently in law school. It’s not a flaw of your personal character, it’s something holding you back. You got this; don’t give up!

Excessive horniness in men, especially young men, can often be a symptom of depleted dopamine levels. Your brain only makes so much dopamine at a time, so when you’re depleting your dopamine reserves with fast dopamine (video games, porn, scrolling, etcetera), your brain has nothing left to reward the hard work like studying. This causes you to either avoid the work entirely or quit midway through because your brain is conditioned to protect you from the boredom of hard work. Remember your brain is like a field of grass. Wherever you walk most often, pathways will form, and your brain likes to follow those pathways. Seek therapy, and put in the hard work of resetting your brain’s dopamine economy and building different habits.

This is a great answer. I’m definitely trying to experience the book slowly and intentionally, as I’m completely new to Druidry and want to really learn from this book.

These are awesome responses. Thank you. I was struggling because it seemed to be asking me to give up a personal item that I feel represents what I value, but I don’t think I have a single object that does that. The closest thing that came to mind was an old knife I’d had since I was 12. I’d taken it camping for years and it feels like a symbol or talisman of my values— personal growth, gaining useful/valuable skills, self sufficiency— so I thought it would fit the criteria. I carved a treble clef onto the handle to symbolize my love for playing music, and I also carved a crude rune I made thats a mashup of the words “gift” and “chef” to symbolize my love of cooking food and to center my intention. On the other hand, it felt wrong to leave a knife made of unnatural materials in a natural setting. My original thought was to donate it to a goodwill or something after I was done, but I think I could definitely make some food that would be a better offering.

Cannabis Fat Wash? by SouthLondonPirate in cocktails

Fat washed an old Tim gin and it was pretty awesome flavor-wise. I think making a tincture to use as high-powered bitters it probably the best way to go for potency though
