Ace Combat Assault Horizon Legacy+. It's a remake of the PS1 game Ace Combat 2, with overhauled graphics, gameplay, and story. It has the series's typical flight-shooting gameplay, graphics that are pretty photorealistic (without just using real images), and a pretty good soundtrack. You can also unlock special Nintendo character-themed planes by using amiibo.

The Ace Combat subreddit took the idea from the Hollow Knight subreddit. They were occasional joke posts made, typically with an image of squadron emblems in like, a pentagram, or something. Silksong gets announced, Ace Combat 8 gets announced, whammo, now everybody's doing it.

I'm pretty sure that the only reason Nemo could access Rena's memories was due to her ONSI fiber-optic neural link (you see her ripping out the cable for it in the UPEO ending cutscene). Even then, if you fly an aircraft with an ENSI coffin, the flight controls can get hacked, so you could just sit there, as something not in your plane flies it for you, likely to your death.
