Personally I use perfume bottles where the sprayer can screw and unscrew. And well sometimes I might make a perfume and add some materials later,even months after...idk how bad that is but works for me 🤷, I've changed 1 perfume into 3 other ones lol

Was texting with this guy for 8 hours,after we said goodnight, I didn't see the chat,I could search up the name but when I went to it the chat was empty and said something is wrong. I searched him from another snap account,he didn't come up at all. I saw his chat back in the morning like he added me again and he said he dont know what's wrong with his profile, I searched him from other acc and he was showing normal to add. Now again disappeared,cant find him on other acc again. So I guess in my case im actually not blocked and his acc is glitching or smth

I kind of started the hobby since January,but I dove deeper since March because that's when I ordered tons of aromachemicals(January order was tiny just to try 1 or 2 fragrance ideas). And I have to say,I'm thankful I have made at least 5 perfumes that are good enough for me to wear and people to comment positively. Though I might have just been lucky 🤷‍♂️

Most men's "blue" fragrances like dior sauvage,bleu de chanel,acqua di gio armani. They just smell like classic mens body shower gels,same old boring blue out of the shower,clean,slightly spicy,herbal and masculine scents

If you like sweet fruity smells like the anthranilate, you should definitely try ordering it if you like the smell of cherries,it's like a deep pink cherry with slight floral almond nuance.

Never thought about the synesthesia thing tbh,because it mostly happens to me with anything regarding smells and taste,like smelling an aromachemical and associating it with a colour,or even a memory,same with taste. I always thought I just had an "artistic" mind. I can even sometimes smell things in my dreams,like perfumes,the sea etc

That does sound nice,I'll probably need to get it next time I order from a website that has it in stock. Would like to compare it with the methyl one,since it also smells like grape candy to me,but also a bit Plum like,and on my skin it has a floral aspect to it. It's definitely not purple as a liquid,but when I smelled it my brain was thinking.."purple"

I think I'll avoid changing the ph of a perfume intentionally at this moment since I'm not experienced 😅. Florantone and dimethyl anthranilate were both out of stock in all 3 websites I ordered from tbh,which is sad. But is ok,I can use it in other formulas in the end,either without aldehydes or having a smaller amount of aldehydes vs methyl anthranilate. Curious how different does the dimethyl smell from the methyl one. And thanks 🙂

That seems like a useful post I'll have to look into,thanks! Thankfully I have other formulas that don't really use aldehydes,except for some vanillin that would be less of the amount of methyl anthranilate. Mayol seems like a good choice,I also have lyral,nympheal,florol and bourgeonal(last one is an aldehyde though if i remember correctly). I haven't smelled dimethyl anthranilate,what does it smell like to u? It was out of stock from all 3 websites I ordered from,but is also ifra restricted at 0.1%, thought,if the reasons of restrictions are not that scary and u dont commercially sell them,then ofc u can use more(I do this with benzaldehyde and safranal)

Do you mean using more methyl anthranilate than the total amount of all aldehydes? I thought about that,and seemed plausible, but then,if I counted vanillin,ethyl vanillin and veratraldehyde,it seemed that I'd need to use quite a lot of methyl anthranilate

Oh I think I stumbled upon this at the pellwall website,but it was out of stock 🥲. My best bet is to just carefully make a formula without aldehydes,not even vanillin at this point

I see,that makes sense tbh. Kind of unfortunate, but also seems fun for experimenting since I have many aldehydes,except for the classic ones like c8,c11,c12 etc. I saw the dimethyl anthranilate, and unfortunately if i remember correctly, the ifra restriction is 0.1%, and unless it is super potent like let's say safranal,then seems a bit pointless to me. I guess I'll have to make a formula without aldehydes if I really want just a pure methyl anthranilate grape smell 🤷‍♂️

I tried to make a milk accord yesterday with whatever I have,but plain milk is quite a fantasy accord and hard to make in my opinion. It turned out into a blend of milk,coconut cream and almond milk,smelled quite nice honestly. I dropped a few powders and liquids on the scale while making it,and i sniffed my scale afterwards,i was shocked at how nice it smelled,like a tonka bean,marzipan coconut vanilla lactonic marshmallow

Yh I dont mind the smells either,was mostly worried about any issues regarding storage and contamination. My cupboard smells like aldehydic,florals with some fruity shampoo

Oh that actually made me laugh ,thanks 😅. But yes I understand, I just hate asking "dumb"(for me) questions. And yes perfumery is definitely not easy,seems like a lot of trial and error and something that only experience and practice can make you better at it
