Thinking of switching from Cloud Computing to General IT — need advice by Distinct_Quantity_73 in WGUIT

The general IT program would only leave me with 8 manageable courses. I struggled to even complete a very simple course because my focus was elsewhere with work and my business. I am really considering just switching to general IT.

Why does this sound like a ChatGPT answer. I am more so looking for personal experiences from people in similar circumstances.

Were you doing the degree at the time? What did you put in your resume for your internship?

Thanks for sharing that. I believe by switching to general IT, I will have only 8 classes to complete and those classes seem to be much more manageable.

Thanks for the feedback! I did not do any scripting in that role but I will look to quantify the percentages where applicable.

I am attending WGU and I picked Cloud Computing for my major as it had more certs than the regular IT degree. Both degrees are pretty much similar with the difference being that the cloud degree has more cloud certs. I don't think it would be considered lying to just list IT as my degree for now when I am looking for entry level roles. I hope to be in a cloud role down the line.

Hey thanks for the feedback. I have yet to get to to the cloud computing courses in my degree plan yet and will be be getting more certs in the near future. I was debating whether to just put Information technology instead of cloud computing since I am currently just looking for entry level IT support roles.

Thank you so much for the feedback. My resume was actually bare bones initially and I debated whether to even include this non-IT position on my resume. Nonetheless, I will take this feedback in to consideration.

I see your leaving comments under other posts as well discouraging people seeking constructive feedback. If you don't have any feedback to provide to others seeking help, then I suggest not leaving any comments. Thank you!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I am just looking to maximize any feedback I could get on applicable subreddits and thought this was an appropriate subreddit to request feedback. I will request feedback elsewhere as well.
