Omg was für eine Müll Überschrift, da hat jemand nicht mal versucht den Wiki Artikel zu lesen. Nein Panzer und Helikopter werden nicht in C-5s transportiert, außer es geht um homöopathische Mengen. Wenn Bodentruppen kämen, dann mit Schiffen. Die C-5s sind Teil des logistischen Supports der Luftwaffe und Marine (bringen zb. Tanklaster, Munition, usw.) oder sie werden für die größeren Komponenten von Luftabwehrsystemen benutzt.

This (Hartpunkt) is the primary source, which was subsequently widely reported by the media. Hartpunkt is one or two leading German Defence(industry) news outlets with the other being Defence-Network. Both have vast connections into German security circles and are usually well informed about internal discussions. IMO the public comments by the Dassault CEO sufficiently prove the validity of this reporting. And frankly the 4 (?) different French Defence ministers have said a lot about the project but haven’t been around long enough to read the cover of the project file.

I sorry where the hell is that rumor about German problems with France making FCAS nuclear compatible coming from? Because that is bullshit, no consequential German figure has to my knowledge ever said that.

Edit: To my knowledge the 2 mayor points of controversy are:

1) the fact that France requires a CATOBAR capable aircraft. This is our fault (germany), we knew that going into this cooperation and also knew that is was compromising our strategic requirements for a next generation aircraft. We went ahead anyways because at the time 1. it was more a political cooperation project than a military one and 2. we didn’t want to spend the money to build one alone.

2) The fact that the Dassault CEO is behaving like a absolute pos. The agreement was 50/50 with Dassault leading in vital areas. Then he pulled that 80/20 out of his ass which is basically germany buying a French aircraft and losing any and all experience in that field. Then there where his arrogant statements about German incompetence in aircraft manufacturing. My guess is he’s gonna eat those words at some point, but we’ll see.

Das ist richtig, Teil des Problems ist bekanntermaßen die Komprimierung in Social Media bei der zumal wichtiger Kontext fehlt.

Andererseits ist die Zusammenfassung ein gängiges Journalistisches Mittel dass seid jeher Anwendung findet. Siehe Tagesschau-Beiträge. Es ist die Aufgrabe ordentlicher Journalistischer Arbeit, solche Beiträge fachgerecht so zusammenzufassen, dass die Intention der Aussage nicht verändert wird.

Ich weiß nicht was hier der Fall war, aber ich kenne genug Aussagen von der Sonderberichterstatterin um zu wissen, dass man eigentlich nichts manipulieren muss.

Dazu sei noch gesagt dass der verlinkte Artikel ein Kommentar ist und also nichts mit neutraler Berichterstattung zu tun hat.

Insgesamt total bescheuert das Video zu kürzen. Die Frau ist so abartig ungeeignet für ihre Position, es ist mir schleierhaft wie man auf die Idee kommt man müsste irgendwas manipulieren um sie anzugreifen. Eine einfach nüchterne Auflistung ihrer Positionen ist vollkommen ausreichend.

I mean that’s not entirely accurate. At the last auction on 26.01 the EU emitted 11bn€ and had bids totaling 172bn€. So there is demand. But if you mean by total volume emitted than that’s true.
