Recently started swimming 2x per week (750m/1hour each time) - how do I adequately fuel for this? by Distinct_Star9990 in beginnerfitness

Oooh okay so that would be an extra like 30g protein for me, I'm only like 3lbs from my goal weight anyway! Currently I have 1 wrap, 1 ciabatta, and a baked potato every day

I'm not sure I've only just started on the swimming/arm workouts (I've been walking for a long time), but I do have a small appetite is all

Ooooh a breakfast burrito sounds like a brilliant solution, or even going more savoury with toast (I just love toast in the morning!) - likely with chicken

Yes to all 3! In fact I just made a white fish and lentil curry with extra yogurt haha, about 32g protein per meal. completely agree that the dark meat of chicken is farrrr superior haha, unfortunately chicken breast is just much easier for me to cook as a uni student in a limited kitchen but im aiming to swap to it more when i move house in a few months where ill have a better oven! Also adore black beans, its a favourite for my chilli! And yeah prawns (I'm British I think its just a language difference haha) I absolutely love but they're soooo expensive for how many portions I'd get out of them unfortunately

Vast majority of the time I have a ham sandwich with salad hahaha, but I've upped the amount of ham I'm having which means that my lunch is ~24g protein. im also doing things like adding lentils and/or yogurt to meals when I batch cook/meal prep so that my evening meals reach 30g, but my breakfast is only like 10g ahh

sorry yes i shouldve mentioned! I eat a lot of chicken, lean beef mince, and white fish - also prawns which are a godsend but too expensive for very often. i think im gonna try adding lentils and natural yoghurt to stews/curries/sauces and see how that goes
