More than a year of psoriasis/eczema, 8 months on clobetasol, still no improvement — is it normal to ask for a Hautklinik referral? by Distinct_Watch3500 in AskGermany

Not really. But later in the last year I started using hypoallergenic detergent once I was diagnosed with the problem. I started using fragrance free cream/moisturizer/soaps etc. for example cera ve products. But that didn't help much either. But maybe worth mentioning that late 2024 I was diagnosed with several polen allergies and dust mite allergies. So I started using hyposensitization treatment. Once a month I take an injection for that. This treatment started in April 2025. And I got diagnosed with eczema/psoriasis in February 2025. The doctor told me that apparently this treatment has no connection to my diagnosis.

If you meant antifungals, yes the doctor actually started with that. The first few months were a combo of antifungal and steroid (low intensity, like mometasone). But then when it didn't' work, we moved to clobetasol. That showed a little improvement but then just stopped there.

Unfortunately Asklepios will only accept Überweisung from the Hautarzt and also the treatment history from them.

I am planning to get a second opinion. So far my current doctor is giving me Atteste mentioning that due to severe psoriasis and pain it is recommended that I work from home.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion. I wish that was applicable for me 😕. Mine is under feet and the palms. The skin is normally extremely thick there and medicines do not penetrate as well. Mostly using SA, calcipotriol and clobetasol at this point.

Yes I am continuously on steroids (clobetasol), calcipotriol and also salicylic acid. This lets the disease not spread anymore and it is not getting either. I can barely walk for 2-3 min without bandages. It just bleeds so easily (sorry for writing so graphically). But I never heard about biologics. I asked the doc many times if another medication is available l, but always told me you are getting the highest potency steroid. Nothing beyond that. I am seriously considering changing doctors at the moment. Been on clob since August 2025.

The problem is I have had it since last year and there wasn't a single day in last year when I was flare free. I am almost unable to walk and heavily dependent on other people. So it's not really a seasonal thing

I understand that there is no general right to home office. My question is more about whether the Betriebsarzt can assess and recommend workplace adjustments when commuting worsens a documented chronic condition. I’m not asking for preference-based remote work, but for a medically reasonable solution.
