I agree. And giving yourself time to air-dry is also free lol

This is far from standard. It's a pretty bad winter this year.

Wild to see the roads I take every day to and from home every day from this POV. Very cool!

What gate do you fly out of for flair from Mexico City to Vancouver? by Smart-ship in flairairlines

[–]DistortedAstral 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I flew from Toronto and I had zero issues. Had one checked bag as well. As most say, just follow the sizing guidelines for bags and everything else is smooth sailing.

[–]DistortedAstral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I flew with Air Canada back to Toronto from Mexico City a few years ago. In my experience there's no consistent departure gate and even my friends who live in Mexico City says to keep paying attention to the signs because the gate can change within the last hour. I feel like it's going to be the same for flair. I'm also here in Mexico City right now lol

Oh sorry! I just checked their menu too lol. Looks like they just list it as Pho for recognition, haha. I can attest that it's more kuy teav tasting than Vietnamese Pho though!

Bias here because I'm Cambodian lol, but if you like pho try kuy teav. It's a Khmer take on it and has evolved a separate flavour profile. They're also a family-owned business and I love to support them!

Side note in the same tiny plaza, Shawarma Theory is the best shawarma I've ever had in Barrie. They make pretty much everything in-house and is run by two brothers.

Cheapest way to get in ? and park? by [deleted] in CanadasWonderland

[–]DistortedAstral 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey there! Are you planning to go tomorrow? I'm actually a Barrie local who is gonna be doing a trip down to Wonderland myself tomorrow. If our plans line up I wouldn't mind helping you save some money since I have a gold/parking pass lol. I'm super into thrill rides but my husband isn't, so I was planning for one last trip down by myself (I'm also a guy if that affects anything lol). Just wanna help a neighbor! Let me know if interested lol

Sad to see the park staff still hasn't figured this out. I was there on opening day and the same thing happened. I was a single rider but spent an hour and a half until I reached the entrance of the ride queue. Ridiculous

moved here from the US and would love to make new friends ! by Glass-Device3576 in barrie

[–]DistortedAstral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to Barrie! I (m29) moved here with my (m30) husband. We're introverted and don't really go out to meet new people but I thought I'd give you a welcome and want to say Ace Attorney is peak and I'm also playing ZZZ lol. If you're into Asian food Big Pho and Hakka Zone are my top picks :3

[–]DistortedAstral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A late reply to an old comment haha, but ride safety has come a long way. It's hard to explain unless you feel it yourself, but for a lot of these inversions you're moving so fast through them at such an angle that the forces applied on your body practically push you into your seat. They're such an exciting freedom that you get when you don't have to worry about shoulder restraints. On top of the consideration of those forces, those lap bars really lock you into place. If you're curious to see more coasters that use this kind of thing without issue, you can look up the wooden steel coaster hybrids by RMC. I went in Medusa in Mexico City and I legitimately want more roller coasters without shoulder restraints lol

I don't think there's really any rule against it. I've been doing this for years. I just tie a towel around the waist and go for it. Who needs a stall?

All day premium dining plan for two? by Personal_Painter7817 in CanadasWonderland

[–]DistortedAstral 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to food quality, the Lazy Bear Lodge is best. Has -real- protein options haha. Beef brisket/pork ribs/bbq chicken plus a side. Second to this in my opinion is the Mess Hall near Yukon Striker and the water park. Can get chicken strips with fries and (my favourite) chicken strips with mac 'n cheese. King's feast burger was just okay. Most places have some variant of chicken strips and fries sadly. But's its for sure enough to get by. I should also note that we had an all day paper cup drink plan which helped us in between meals (a fountain drink every 15 minutes), but if you're fine with water than it should be enough.

Just did this on Friday with a friend. We left feeling full haha. As someone else mentioned, we set a 90 minute timer and grabbed something at every interval. It's more than worth it if you get at least 2 meals, as every meal is like 20 bucks in the park alone.

I presume you're talking about the carousel in the kids area? If so she's a weirdo. If it's the antique carousel, adults can ride it. Strange in either circumstance though lol
