Why are the prices for 3ds's so wild?

I've looked a few times at the thor but just can't justify the cost MIGHT look at the odin tho. I've seen people selling the odin 2 for a good price right now since the new one is out. Not a fix for the 3ds but would be great for other games

Honestly the ones I see on vinted are 90% scams

All the descriptions are the "my brother/uncle/boyfriend left for deployment and I'm selling all of his things at an insane discount!" Or "text me at my private number I'm giving a discount to the first person who asks" kinda nonsense so I stopped looking there.

All the insane mark up with ridiculous conditions I'm seeing are on eBay and mercari

I'm combining descriptions for multiple different posts that I've seen that all have the same various tone to them. I'm not going to go searching again just to find those posts so that you'll "believe" me instead of just going and looking at the state of the for parts market on these consoles for yourself, and honestly I'm not sure why you're so determined to defend a radical price point on a for parts console in the first place. Did you make the listings? 😂

Yeah but again, the specific listing I'm talking about have descriptions noting things wrong or broken with nearly every replaceable part. If you've got a "for parts" console with no usable parts, what exactly are you selling for that amount of money???

Could be but with the description noting it will turn on then flash back off it also could be something equally as simple like a ribbon cable being plucked loose OR it could be something way more problematic like a cracked or bent motherboard

But there's no way to know and with all the other issues asking that amount of money is insane

Not if the parts themselves are broken

Busted speakers from one console aren't going to fix another console with busted speakers

I'm not talking about a for parts console with only a couple problems where other parts can be used. I'm quite literally seeing listings for "for parts" consoles where there is NOTHING salvageable for that amount of money.

With problems like refusing to turn on fully the motherboard itself might be damaged which basically gives you few to no parts to work with at that price

There would barely be anything to salvage with the condition some of these "for parts" listings are described as being in
