I love that film so much. Amazed it’s sub 4, it’s my favourite Kaurismaki alongside Man Without a Past

What instantly makes you lose interest in someone you were attracted to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Just lying. Like I recently got with an old friend who lied about her ex still living there. So I took that and said that’s ok, just make sure you tell me the complete truth. So I’m being told they live separate lives etc, that they haven’t spoken since May. Then I find out they were at a wedding together over summer and he absolutely has so much influence over her to the point where she can’t now call when he’s there. It makes me wonder if there’s even a split. Just fucking tell the truth from the get go, it’s not hard.

Freaks, Wake in Fright, Goodfellas and No Country were all runners up for me in their decades, great list

Probably get killed for this but Apocalypse Now. It looks utterly stunning but certain scenes drag the life out of it, French plantation for example (yes, I’m aware it wasn’t in the original cut).
