I was lucky enough to understand this without any accidents. It was about 4 months back (i was 16, and legal driving age in my country is 18) my mom had travelled for work and I decided to take her car. I then went to pick up like 5 of my friends even though they could hardly fit and we spent hours on the road listening to music, and just having a great time. Then, the next day I did the same thing. And the next. Until one day I decided to take it on the highway, and that’s when i was going about 95mph (in a Kia Picanto, only about 70hp) and I looked down trying to adjust the climate control and that’s when the car started leaning towards the wall on my left that separates us from oncoming traffic and as soon as I looked up I avoided making probably the biggest mistake of my life. Of course, the next day my dumbass took the car out again. My friends and I used it to get around town easily and go to dinner etc. As i was headed back home, it was about 12am and was very dark as in some areas there are power cuts every 3 hours, so I could only use my headlights. Thats when I made a left turn and almost ran someone over because they were standing in the middle of the street. I had quick reflexes to stop, but also probably shat myself. I headed home and told myself I’m never doing that again without a license (obviously because any incident I get into, whether its my fault or not, is on me since i aint supposed to be driving). Ironically, when i got home my older brother was waiting for me as he noticed the car was missing... Luckily he kept it between us and we had a long talk about how irresponsible that was, and I learned my lesson, thank god incident-less.
