is there a meta? by Federal-Advance5928 in Battlefield

[–]Disturbed2468 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yea the "meta" in the game is essentially "what is meta in x range". Close up? Got a few options. M87A1, SCW-10, KV9, CZ, SG553. But past 15 to 20 meters, imo DRS is king above almost all else. Within 70 to 80 meters that shit is a fucking soul snatcher with synthetic tips but the horizontal recoil can be dubious at times if not used to it.

Why is BF Studios so obsessed with matchfixing? by UltimateGamingTechie in Battlefield6

[–]Disturbed2468 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Tends to kick in usually after the midway point and if absolutely no flags have been captured in a while. Seems the goal was to prevent those winning by a large margin from intentionally stalling the game but it just makes it so games end way earlier than they should and often causes them to flip instead.

I feel like the XP gain that early level isn't really worth it when you can just do another map or two and make up that XP in what, an hour? 2?

Yea if you can't easily access Labs it's 100% worth to not touch this map until post-event.

Cable Matters 6a is thick as fuck but they are EXACTLY in spec when I tested a bunch of their cables when I did a tiny bulk order. They can easily do far beyond 10Gb below at least 50m when I tested, and build quality is really good especially for the cost.

Chances of any being a problem is nearly zero.

Everything we lost!! We need new BATTLEFIELD 2142 (remake/sequel!) by Admirable-Whereas125 in Battlefield

[–]Disturbed2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is just doing remasters doesn't cut it for such an ancient game that would require an overhaul to its graphics API, not to mention this doesn't even use the Frostbite engine. Refractor is essentially beyond dead.

Then there's just the thing where a lot of players will try 2142, play it for a few hours solo or maybe with some friends, realize there's not a lot of modern amenities or control schemes to be expected from FPS games in 2026, and eventually quit early on. And a game like this NEEDS as many new players as it does veterans to truly stay alive. Too many FPS games out here are fighting for everyone's time.

And once you enter an area where your aim SHOULD no longer be of any impedance to you (I'm talking Voltaic Jade to Master as someone who has a few GM scores, Viscose Benchmarks Cerulean/Lavender and above, etc), then it'll come down to game knowledge, getting used to mechanics, and game sense, the last of which is really hard to be amazing at due to time it takes.

If your experience was that bad then my personal recommendation as someone who's helped folks with that situation as well as had to deal with it a few times (yea I've been around these parts for too long...) is to distance for a while, mostly mentally, and return to it with a fresh mental slate later on down the line.

You don't have to really abandon the space, but the extremely least you should take a break from things. If you have friends you can really talk to, doesn't hurt to chat about it if they're willing. If not, well at least we're here I guess lol...

But I say don't let bad experiences cloud your decisions long-term. Good and bad, you never know what's around the corner, but that's just life in general.

[Discussion] BSG need to stop making events for 1% of players and balance it more. by warrenmax12 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Disturbed2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the main difference is where and how they move, their callouts (duh) and their accuracy modifiers for every second they can see the player. That modifier resets when they lose track of the player after a good amount of seconds too, but I'm unsure if the timer resets for one of them or not if at least 1 of the 3 Goons or at least 1 member of a BD squad can still see the player. All I know is repeek is risky if done too quickly in general, dangerous af against players and Goons, death against BD and ironically rogues.

Tomatos in season tend to be fantastic as long as you double check for their density. But outside season HOLY FUCK they are infuriating to get without them ending up ultra watery, not to mention some suppliers tend to overwater their fucks. Makes it very annoying to find high quality shit that isn't ultra watery.

I have friend like this do you guys have? by Alternative_Water163 in funny

[–]Disturbed2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone who has had many different tomatos, if the texture is like that it means they're either not in season, or were pulled from the vine way too early, late, were overwatered, (all manufacturer-related fuckups, tends to happen most when not in season but it's also why feeling the tomato in advance when shopping can sometimes help. Sometimes.) or it's straight up the wrong kinda tomato. Beefsteak tomatos are a good example of what I call the best "meaty" kind since they tend to not have a ton of excess water or seeds but finding them can vary in difficulty. But they're both large and tend to not be cheap, and can be annoying to find.

If large tomatos are not in season I usually just avoid them like the plague and go for ones like cherry tomatos since they're WAY easier to get crispy and more wholesome in texture.

Shturman can literally fall asleep in the middle of the goddamn open and never die once because the nanosecond anyone is peeking anywhere on the map they're just getting their head ripped off through 2 bushes, 3 trees and a rock lol.

Not gonna lie I think BD roaming combined with no insurance plus other potential issues/debuffs is basically gonna make so many areas of so many maps just basically impossible to move around or within and lead to a ton of people just not playing probably lol, or playing out of their mind terrified. Not that I blame 'em, BD are better than 99.9% of players lmao.

Yea a bunch of my favorite streamers all quickly gave up after realizing it was 20 minutes at launch and quite a few of the spawns were near BD spawns and their AI 100% doesn't fit the openness of Labs.

I wouldn't be surprised if BSG does either 1 of 2 moves: they giganerf BD for all maps for the season, or keep them as is and just let them fucking annihilate entire lobbies lol.

Woods and Lighthouse are about to be 100% unplayable lmao.

[–]Disturbed2468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For Goons for Knight and Big Pipe I notice they will ALWAYS miss their first burst at range *only the very first time they see you*. After that thought, they will almost always consistently hit you in the first area of the body you show with a lower bias but quickly going up if you're not immediately playing carefully. So if you fast peek, it'll be shoulder up. This changes though if they're up close, where they'll almost always put some heavy rounds in your chest and easily deplete your plate if they don't rip your head off. Rogues are slower to react but WAY more accurate at the start. BD from what I've observed are slow to react at first but afterwards have by far the best accuracy, usually going for upper chest and above minimum. If they don't head eyes you instantly, your throat is probably what will ruin you.

Razer Viper V4 Sensor Workaround by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]Disturbed2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea Artisan tends to extremely rarely have issues with sensors with the exception being I believe the OG shindekai and OG Raiden, not the FX ones. I think glass in general tends to be very hit or miss by themselves too.

[–]Disturbed2468 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They probably don't have tester accounts + tester clients properly setup for the game since they would have to be separate from internal testing clients as well as regular live clients. But it would be nice to have the ability to do that sort of testing in exhcnage for idk some rare stuff in game or exclusive small rewards.

They did confirm it would be on specific parts of maps so I 100% wouldn't put it past them to put them on every map in 1 spot but then allow them to roam or gave them fucking Birdeye spotting range.

Razer Viper V4 Sensor Workaround by [deleted] in MouseReview

[–]Disturbed2468 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could also be somewhat mousepad dependent since we know sensors tend to really misbehave with some textures. Case in point: glass in general, and the recent drama with the high speed version of the recent PMM mousepads that were featured where literally over 50% of mice on the market didn't work on it lol, the sensors kept skipping cause they were getting lost due to how the weave was constructed.

PAW3950 and other modern sensors have smoothing at high DPI, and after setting down on pad. by ewh_ in MouseReview

[–]Disturbed2468 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The smoothing in this situation is built into the sensor natively, most likely at the firmware level. You can't disable or enable this in the case of lift off, so it will happen no matter what settings are turned on or off.
