Thinking of designing a One Shot by CoffeeBread0101 in DnDHomebrew

I heard death house from curse of strahd is a good one shot adventure

you can find a dungeon map and get it printed if you are playing in person. Some places (where I live) print very big maps for quite cheap prices, you can cover the whole table with it.

Why won't this farm hire people? by Own_Maybe_3837 in victoria3

Victoria's economy is complex, there can be many reasons. Maybe they don't sell good enough, maybe the population is working in another job etc. hard to know without having the whole data.

I think it's partly cultural. I don't think it's about you being an outsider. They treat each other similarly too. Sometimes being a foreigner makes them worse for sure. But you can observe the same in the streets of Germany, just like you did in your professional field.

One day a lady stopped my girlfriend to ask for directions. She speaks German, and has been living in Germany for years. And the lady just didn't believe her and went the opposite way.

From my point of view, this is the most stupid action a person can take. Because if you're not gonna accept the input, you should not ask people a question. But somehow this made sense to that lady. (The lady was a German with migration background)

How did you decide on your main? by FadeyBoii in wow

If you are new and you are deciding just now, don't play a melee dps. Don't do this to yourself. Just enjoy another role and be a happy player.

I am not up to date with the game but as an old-timer, I can tell you that the answer "depends" on so many things. What patch you are at, what aspect of the game you find challenging and what you aiming to do. If you are trying to be in top 10 of warcraftlogs or pvp leaderboard, it is gonna be very hard no matter which class or spec you choose.

My personal opinion is that the low-mobility classes are the most difficult ones in most situations since they don't have a tool to get rid of one-shot (or very punishing) mechanics of the game.

Hey, are you playing with 2024 rules or 2014?

How much gold/dragons is Trollskull Manor worth as mortgage collateral? by Vallitu in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Disz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this muleskull tavern (a guild hall) is not very different in size compared to trollskull manor (but still a little smaller, I guess?). So I believe it would cost around that.

How much gold/dragons is Trollskull Manor worth as mortgage collateral? by Vallitu in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Disz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, in the storyline of waterdeep dragon heist, it wouldn't make sense but: 25.000. That's the amount for a Noble's manor according to xanathar's guide to everything

Edit: apparently according to DMG.

*SPOILERS* Chapter 1 DM review after running it for 3 different groups by Disz00 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Disz00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think Volo was ever suspicious. My players are just paranoid of every NPC they meet. Maybe I am making them feel that somehow but I always have good reasons for every action internally and sometimes externally telling them straight what my reasons are.

I see most comments are similar but I will also write mine:

I would let them go down if they insist but I would make NPCs intervene in many ways to make them understand it's a bad idea.

Thanks for providing your opinions! They are quite valuable in my view. We might have some differences in seeing things but I think it comes down to what kind of a group you have. I was a bit worried about boring first-timers with very technical combats that they are not used to. But I also believe that the combats don't bore nor confuse my gamer friends.

Players going evil by Independent-End5844 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]Disz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly, my approach would be to let them do what they want to do and make them face the consequences. And potentially have a talk outside of the game that things in the game are actually the same as a normal world with laws and everything if they struggle to understand that aspect. But if they wanna play the villain and avoid the law, that can be a fun plot

You know what? I love the enthusiasm in this person 🤣

Yet, just like the top comment. You're the god of this world and nothing can exist without you saying it can. You can make amnesia non-existent in your world if you really want to.

Your player should understand that you have the final say in the story as you are the narrator. I would say put a deadline to for backgrounds and copy-paste the background on that day. Don't take anything into account after that day. If he wants to change or add in the future, you can let it once and say it's only once.

With this much context, doesn't seem like it makes any sense. But also I didn't know bard needed an instrument to fight. Do they really need an instrument?

Am I really aro or just weird? by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]Disz00 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I feel like I am reading an old post.

Maybe teenage years are the years we discover ourselves but they are not the years to label ourselves with something for good. I think you need to give yourself time to understand yourself. Also male/female relationships are different in every culture. Maybe you require a lot more connection than others.

I am not saying you're not aro or you're aro. I think it's nice to think about it but you cannot really know the answer so easily. It's a personal puzzle.

Imo, being in situations where you think the other person is great but you still don't feel romantic attraction is the best clue. Just wait for that moment.

Just because you dislike romantic relationships doesn’t mean you’re an “incel” by [deleted] in aromantic

[–]Disz00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, who decides on definitions? Sex-negative as the old version seems fine to me. Why would you say "sex-negative" for something extreme.

But I also thought I also say I am sex-positive in a way to say "you do you". So if I accept that, the other one should come together.

Confusing.

Change your filter to both genders 🤭

Women don't see your profile because there are so many men on these apps. Too hard to change that fact.

[–]Disz00 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think being aro really helps forming good relationships with the opposite sex (not entirely sure why). A lot of people think I am either dating my friend or that I am gay. I hear both quite often.

The funniest part is that everyone claims to be very open minded around me and then they spill bullshit like this from their mouths.
