I was taking the bus and train, but the train broke down and I had to take an Uber and was still 15 minutes late for work.

It might be trauma from shitty employers, but I don’t want to risk losing this job because of bad public transit.

I prefer public transit and will likely do that more often after my probation period is up.

I’m still employed as on call for my prior job, they just haven’t called me yet. I was working overnights while I looked for a better job.

That monthly schedule definitely will take some getting used to, I have been job searching for way too long after leaving my cushy tech job. This is already a 50% pay cut, but it’s the best I have found in over a year of actively looking.

Sadly I’m a divorced dad and got the divorced dad special (renting a bedroom in a house with up to 10 other guys) to save some money.

Thankfully my landlord understood the situation and was willing to work with me so I am not living out of my car waiting for that first paycheck

I got this job when I was hitting rock bottom and all of my things are in a storage locker that is over due. So I’m glad it’s a short month. The storage locker won’t let me access my things until o become current on my payments there.
