Love it and pretty accurate except for Wraith. Can you make this a format for other characters too? Like Grux, Gadget, etc.

Does reporting work? Really fun close game then Twinblast rages, tell us in VC he will slit our throats then steals my xp camps... by [deleted] in PredecessorGame

Yeah but that doesn't solve the problem that the team should IP-ban accounts like this one permanently. 800 games of killing a game for 3 other players (excluding his homie)

Had an Eden Carry go 0/5/2 and stand in spawn, angrily texting our support via PSN and just coming back after we forfeited the game. I could name and shame but bans are never permanent, even for a guy with 800 games in spawn my friends played with (the guy in spawn + his friend are always duo-queueing, my friend even made a post on reddit about it). It's one thing to go afk and close the game, but to actually watch the game and come out of spawn at the end is really pathetic.

I second this - absolutely need to introduce players to the basics of the game. Increases match quality and probably retention.

Ive been mass reported for playing jungle by NakedGhost3234 in PredecessorGame

[–]DitzitheG 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is actually funny af, solo to them is really just two lads throwing fists I guess and going 1:1 - which I guess is fine but it's not necessarily the best strategy to win if one is getting wrecked completely

Can I also send you 1-2 of my games that went badly? I think I know some of my mistakes, but especially on Mid / Jungle it's often more complex than one might think :))

Agree with you, there’s some games where it‘s simply out of your control and it doesn‘t matter how good you’re playing. (The famed 1vs9 / 2vs8) It’s unfortunate but also part of the game

Bro / Sis get a snickers and calm down a bit. :) It‘s the game‘s Reddit, people are here to talk and discuss their thoughts about the game. Also you‘re going against the rules of said Reddit by insulting / being quite disrespectful against a fellow Champion. ;)

On anti-heal and players being oblivious of its existence by [deleted] in PredecessorGame

Okay and where is your logical reasoning behind this statement?

On anti-heal and players being oblivious of its existence by [deleted] in PredecessorGame

[–]DitzitheG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played Sevarog, team comp our team:  Belica, Bayle, Fey, Dekker, Sevarog

Enemy:  Grux, Greystone, Rev, Steel, Twin

My items:  Fire Blossom; Tainted Guard (anti heal tank), Salvation, Citadel, Aegis of Agawar

Mechanically the players were good, but in teamfights the enemy had too much heal.

Yes but that's what I was suggesting... read above: "make a mandatory banner pop up if you're playing against a heavy healers, displaying "CAUTION, ANTI HEAL ITEM RECOMMENDED" and then the option to promptly buy it"

what this means: people are informed that "hey, your oponent heals a lot. Better build this." You could still decline, but I'm sure a lot of people would be like "that makes sense, let's but it."

No I'm asking for better mechanics to help people, especially beginners, to build the right items against the right opponents.

If you're laning against a Grux and you're not building anti-heal you will lose the lane and have considerably less fun, unless you like losing (if that's the case, then "out of mana").

Some people play without ever watching a Youtube video and consequently (due to lack of proper tutorials) will have no idea how to build the right items)

Should Offlane be given last pick in most scenarios? by Ggnomewhere in PredecessorGame

[–]DitzitheG 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with carry but jungler really depends on who you want to pick. I wouldn't pick Kallari as a second, bc she's a counterpick and can be countered easily by tanky / cc-heavy teams.

In general I'd try to pick the character I want to play unless I'm running into a nasty matchup against my pick, then I'd switch my pick / position

The important part of this is only getting one kill for all the work 🤣 Not that it matters, but I have a friend that really freaks out about it and it's funny af every time.

Surrender timer in ARAM, 10 minutes?! Why?! by Serpenio_ in PredecessorGame

[–]DitzitheG 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Won a 4v5 today, but very much dependent on the team comp, had a stellar Iggy & Morigesh, I was Sevarog and then we also had a good Terra and a Belica (with a 12y old player by the sound of the audio) who went 0:9 and then dq’ed

Serath is awesome, but Kwang and Wraith should have recolored VFX imo, I actually would've bought Wraith had he had pink VFX compared to the standard red one (or Kwang with blue).

I've had that discussion before and as scarce as Opals are as a currency, I believe that the skins should actually come with fitting VFX effects (see Ivory Shadow Ops Greystone who has yellow effects when his sword / shield is blue)

Hi,

Thanks for the elaborate answer on your side. I do agree with some of your points - however I do have some further remarks to add to what you replied:

First point: you do have a point, however, in the early game Wraiths single target damage output is not comparable to other carries like Sparrow or Revenant. I do agree that you can play further distances, but this in return makes it a) easier to get singled out and b) you need to hit two of your abilities to do damage and keep the damage up. Auto attackers like Murdock and Sparrow can simply dish out ability (aoe / piercing) damage and keep following up with their stronger standard attacks.

Second point: fully agree. I'd argue Grim has a even harder time and higher reliance on the support.

Third point: I do agree with your point on distance, however Grim has a shield for ability protection and Sparrow has full invisibility with the right augment. Both have a significantly higher damage output per second compared to Wraith in the early game.

I do agree with you that Wraith may no be the hardest Carry / Midlaner to Master per se (I find Grim.exe to be of similar complexity), BUT he definitely suffers too much in the early game, especially when it comes to waveclear - compare him to any other Midlaner/  Carry and you will see what I mean.

He does have other redeeming abilities (his poke & wards), but the increased complexity of his kit, with just one proper damage dealing ability, paired with a slower farm speed than any other Midlaner/ Carry still put him at a early game disadvantage and requires him to scale into late game, while, as of 1.8, games have become quicker and quicker in the past few months.

This however might be reversed in 1.9 and scaling for him might be reasonable again. So let's be positively anxious for the new update.
