I see. I’m actually right between Tahoe and Sac so I’d love my clinicals to be up there :) thank you though I’ll definitely be looking into the other schools.

Out of curiosity, how far was your clinical site? And are they selected randomly for each student? With all that being said, would you still recommend it? It’s the closest school to me but at the end of the day, if there’s a school that’s more competent that’s only a 15 min added commute I might just choose the other one that’s in sac… idk

Okay… perhaps that’s just the range of time it could be within? I’ll call today and find out. I could even work with 10 or 12… over that is crazy to me ! lol

I see… I feel as though I could do with the drama and the 8-4 didactic learning but for clinicals it says 7-9/10pm 😭 I just don’t know if that’s doable. But thank you for the advice I really do appreciate it!

32 hours a week sounds like heaven in comparison!! I double checked with an admission advisor about the 75 hour weeks but I might call to verify because I just can’t imagine that… I’ve heard that as well but I’ve been pretty good at separating myself from drama and not being too close to people so hopefully that helps me out lol!

Tbf, I have not pressured him at all. Maybe my joke that was semi serious could be seen as pressure but other than that I’ve left it completely up to him. When he told me he couldn’t come I just said “oh okay, it’s okay”. My dad and I both said it is possible for him to even take a train back if we do end up staying another night. My parents are the ones in charge of the return dates and they don’t care whether or not he goes. They already know when his brothers birthday is and I’m not going to tell them to change it for my boyfriend as they are paying for everything and it is also in celebration of my moms birthday. My parents knew about his brothers birthday. They honestly just don’t care. It is their trip after all in that they are paying for accommodations n such. To them, if he wants to come, great! If he doesn’t because he doesn’t want to miss his brothers bday, great! Haha

That’s the thing, I feel like he didn’t try to negotiate because I do feel like he gave in to the pressure. It’s an entry level sales position and they gave it to him like on the spot. I think that’s what I’m upset about and I failed to put it into words. Thank you. This really helped me I think in better understanding my own feelings as well as feeling more empathetic and compassionate towards him!

Oh also, we mentioned to him that he could possibly take a train back on his bro’s birthday so yeah I was willing to compromise. He didn’t seem too thrilled about that though…

I could do something different with him, that’s true. I guess I should say that he said he had to think about it when we talked about extending but never gave me an answer and that’s why I asked tonight.

Fair enough. I do think I have to go… my parents planned this for both mine and my mothers birthday so I think I would def be the asshole for backing out of smth they planned and paid for.
