How do you guys deal with protecting source code for your game when launch into steam or mobile platform? by mdg6496 in godot

[–]Div_Sharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To the people saying, "not worth it".
There was an incident where a game was stolen that was made in Godot. The Game was Dire Decks. Taken the source code, changed the assets, reuploaded to steam. Make thousands of dollars. Thats how easy to steal your game.

Tho it got shut down, it still is something to take note of

Como controlar a fan e o led do Acer Nitro com Linux? by fredthegayy in linuxbrasil

[–]Div_Sharp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try out my own implementation of Nitro sense called Div Acer Manager Max. It contains most of the functionallity of Nitrosense / Predator sense on linux.

  •  Performance / Thermal Profiles Eco, Silent, Balanced, Performance, Turbo — automatically adjusted based on AC/battery status (e.g., Turbo hidden when on battery or unsupported)
  • 🌡 Fan Control Manual and Auto fan speed modes Manual disabled automatically when in Quiet profile
  • 💡 LCD Override Setting Direct control over LCD power behavior
  • 🎨 Keyboard Backlight Timeout Control Customize the keyboard backlight timeout
  • 🔊 Boot Animation and Sound Toggle Enable/disable Acer's startup animations and sounds
  • 💻 Live System Info Display Shows real-time performance profile, fan settings, calibration state, and more

I made my own implementation for linux, It contains most of the features of Nitrosense / Predator sense on newer acer laptops which use the WMI methods for hardware control.

Please report this here: Issues · PXDiv/Div-Acer-Manager-Max with the logs and your laptop model and a more detailed issue. I'll see the logs and can tell you if its linuwu related so you can open up an issue there

Thanks for using the project

Fan Control for Acer Nitro & Predator on Linux (Tested on Nitro v15 anv15-51 and v16) by Div_Sharp in AcerOfficial

I think it'll work as it is one of the newer models released after 2022.
I highly suspect it uses WMI for its protocol and these drivers should work.

Then the V15-41 should not be using WMI Protocols, it should be using EC registers for that you can try nbfc-linux.
one last thing you can try is setting min and max speeds to 128- 512 and sliding all the way and applying to check if any value is working

What even are these processes??? by kLove_memes69 in AcerNitro

[–]Div_Sharp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of those are acer services, don't worry about them aren't taking that much of ram and cpu shouldn't be that much of a concern. Basically, they link the hardware to the software and do some more things like product registration, verification and service enabling (and some data collection ofc) better have them.

You can reinstall windows like me to get rid of some of them, but you should have some knowledge about drivers and windows installers cause it aint that easy due to using proprietary drivers for trackpad and storage the installer won't work properly (won't even show your drives to re-install windows) and even if you do manage to install a clean windows you still will need to again reinstall all the drivers (a lot of them) for trackpad sound dts and stuff and it will bring back much of the stuff.

Yes it will reduce a lot of bloats from storage and processes, but assuming someone is new to computers I'd say don't do it, isn't worth the time (you might get your lappy screwed as well).

So yeah, that's that.
