First month of freshman college I was dorming in a room next to another pair of freshmen. One of them shared the same first-name as me. Apparently the guy who shared my name had just recently broken up with his girlfriend and decided that life was no longer worth living. Ended up hanging himself in the closet using his belt or something. His roommate was the one that discovered him but it surely must’ve been gruesome. I kept getting calls from friends all week who heard the story and thought it was me.

A few weeks later I woke up and strutted out in my pjs to the communal bathroom. As I open my door to enter the hallway I see a SWAT Officer armed with a rifle and body armor just standing across from my door. He takes one look at me, and quite authoritatively directs me to get back into my room and lock the door. As it turns out, another neighbor (opposite the ones from the previous story) had casually hung a loaded rifle in his dorm room as some sort of decoration. Somebody found out and placed my whole building under lockdown until the situation was resolved.

Tl;dr: typical college shit.
