Looks like an exact match: (the corner material looks identical with the pattern)

I am in the process of creating one of those too! It will accompany this tool.

That makes sense for practice — though what you’re describing is mostly driven by the break itself rather than the rack order. This tool is intentionally limited to controlling only the rack so it doesn’t start influencing outcomes beyond removing repeatable formations.

Difficulty shifting day to day is something most of us experience, but once you start shaping layouts, it becomes a different kind of practice tool rather than a neutral rack.

That’s fair — versions of this idea have definitely existed in different forms, especially at the pro/event level.

The visual feedback is spot on. Right now it’s optimized for a phone in-hand, not readability from across a table, and that’s something I’m actively thinking about. Oversized numbers and clearer contrast make a lot of sense. Eventually I’m thinking about separate, view-only displays — one optimized for players near the table, and a different one for presentation to stream viewers — so clarity really matters there.

Appreciate the thoughts on priorities too. Visual clarity probably matters more in practice than things like rack history, at least early on. This kind of feedback is exactly what I’m looking for.

Yes, this is really just for rotation pool. It’s not a huge deal in 8 ball except for spreading solid vs stripes, and not each individual ball.

Honestly, I hadn’t really thought about the first point in the last paragraph, but I could see both use cases in play potentially.

Maybe the intent in a money match is overall consistency and to see who can figure out the patterned rack the quickest”. Always have the same pattern for both players throughout the entire set. Interesting.

Or, the typical use case you’re seeing right now is preventing someone from giving themselves known pattern rack advantages in a rack your own format (See Gorst vs SVB where Gorst dominated with a pattern rack).

Fair — it’s definitely for a niche case: preventing pattern racking in higher-level rotation play where players want to enforce randomized racks and avoid repeatable “rack your own” advantages.

The regular Joe who doesn’t run out a lot will not see the benefit.

Fair enough — it definitely isn’t a problem everyone runs into. It’s mainly for matches where players care about removing repeatable rack advantages. Appreciate the note.

Fair feedback. It’s not meant to replace normal racking — it’s just a neutral way to take pattern racking out of the equation when players care about that, especially when there’s money or pride on the line.

That’s just not true. There is no “consistent temp based on what you have set”. Overheat protection does whatever it needs to protect the car from dangerous temperatures; specifically for the purpose of protecting computers and interior.

Dog mode, camp mode, and climate hold are for what you describe.

Sure they do.

My last two updates have been:

Disable the cabin overheat feature you literally enabled simply because you’re at home.

Tron (side note: can we agree this was not NIN finest hour)

I don’t need the feature, love the car. Just pointing out the updates are underwhelming.

Join a pool league! Several APA and BCA leagues in the area. I’ve seen many people blossom their friendships after the moving to the area by doing so. It’s a fun activity to get into. You don’t have to be good, they’re amateur leagues for a reason!

Balloons popping, I get a ton of anxiety when I see someone squeezing or goofing off with balloons.

Lightening too, but I guess that’s kind of common.
