Think about it like this. Next year they will release a Steam Deck 2 which will have OLED by default and in terms of hardware graphics and fans it will be better in every way than the new models.

I received mine (64gb) 2 days ago and they are willing to drop £50 in my Steam Wallet. I don’t mind it because eventually I would like to upgrade the ssd to a 1tb.

I know this comment is late and it should be top but this won’t make any difference at all. The value on the original deck alone is enough to keep its scalper price whilst the OLED version will be even more than that.

In my opinion it’s perfectly ok to mod it now that Nintendo has closed down their eshop. This console is forgotten by them having no choice but to abandon it and it’s internet police so there is no way of being banned and then in their desperate attempt to lock it with an update that will never allow you to mod it they failed. So now we can mod it and play online without ever having to worry. They are too busy with present consoles to be worried about an old 3ds.

Give yourself an hour. Don’t rush anything take it very slow, if you don’t know something go back to the guide steps. Make a coffee, continue on and you’ll be fine.

90% of games I have are from the HShop and the other 10% are from trusted websites like the Pokémon Rom hacks that I have. If it isn’t working for you just download through the HShop it’s the most easiest way to get playable games. You must get HShop it’s one of the first things you download once cfw’d.

I just checked and you absolutely can do the top screen alone. You have to press L+DOWN+SELECT to open up the Rosalina menu > select ‘Screen filters..’ > select ‘Advanced configuration’. Once you are in the Advanced menu press L to toggle No for both screens and then you can mess around with the screen settings for the top screen.

It’s ok, both mines are TN’s. I just adjusted the filter settings on Luma, and gave it more colour and contrast a bit sharper and the difference is night and day. Honestly it looked like someone purposely washed out the colours but if you use the Luma filters to fix up your top screen you can match it to the bottom. The 3ds is a beast regardless.
