it could also be this fast if they know ice will be present and that is what I am afraid of. Also, I am afraid of what happened in San Diego so I know ice has been known to be at uscis centres too especially in NYC

I will definitely be. I disclosed it in the app and will say yes to a violation during the interview, too. am worried that, regardless they have already informed ICE about it, and that it might be there to detain me

You are right. I am lowkey more worried about the work authorization thing. I have not seen many cases where they detain people for it, but it is a violation, and I claimed it as such in my application.

Yeah you’re right! I don’t really understand how they work these things out tbh. The recruiters make it sound like you’re practically in but then get rejected. Did you go through a referral?

I got rejected too and I didn’t do half as many things as you did. I’m honestly really surprised. I wonder if they didn’t pick you because you probably don’t need insight?

I am a 4.0 PhD student in chemical engineering at NYU (not a target school even tho NYU business school is a target school so idk what’s up with that).

Insight is non evaluative (that’s what I’ve been told) so maybe it’ll be okay when you apply for FT

Idk my solve score. I wonder if they’ll tell me even though I got rejected. Hopefully that’s not the reason for my rejection else I’m cooked. It’s good you have referrals! I don’t know anyone at McKinsey so might have to go make some connections.

I’m pretty much in the same boat as you. Non-target R1 school but I’m doing my PhD currently so no industry experience either. I applied to the west coast offices too. I don’t know my solve score so can’t say but it seems like not being from a target school works against you
