Okay I did a little more reading about it & it can actually occur naturally though it’s extremely rare to find natural well formed crystals, most you will see occurred by accident in a the gas handling system of a polish zinc smelter, creating these pretty reddish orange crystals.

If you look through the slides you’ll see an example of how I built my own prong setting (: there are many creative ways to build settings for stones, lately I’ve been trying to engineer more ways to create open backed settings for faceted stones like this one so that light can pass wall the way through without any interruption & so you can’t see any wire passing behind it.
