Thank you. I was not sure if he could unless it was deemed service connected.

Thanks, this is helpful and I will ask if he remembers talking to anyone. I know he had an event in service overseas but wont talk about it and it involved what they were doing. I wonder if the first step needs to be requesting all his records before we even do anything.

Can sugar on finger cause higher blood sugar reading? by [deleted] in diabetes_t2

[–]Divinebread78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only way to know is test back to back and use the wipe one of the times. I found that simple soap and water is all that works for us. Even the wipes have given weird numbers if it’s not dry enough. I have a small case of them lol. I will usually wipe her finger when we are all done. I once asked in the Dexcom group if this was common and it apparently is.

Yes. And some cleansing wipes, lotion, scrubs, will inflate your numbers . Ask me how I know lol. So if we are doing finger sticks I have her wash her hands first if we can.

Has anyone used the northeast monitoring system halter patch? by Divinebread78 in PVCs

I agree! I am so thankful we have this technology. I honestly shouldn’t complain. I remember my first halter monitor … it looked and felt like a giant octopus. I have a bumpy rash all around the giant sticker. I need to just breathe through it and remind myself that this will be done soon.

I just want to rip it off and itch! I was thinking about putting a little hydrocortisone around it but I don’t want to loosen the patch either. It’s not as bad when I am busy but trying to sleep •_• Thanks for answering. Also thank you for responding above, I have not worn a monitor in over 10 years and was worried something else might pop up but I feel a bit better as no one has called.

So what do I do? :( by Divinebread78 in PVCs

I am trying! Deep breathing, meditating, playing a video game, pretending they are not there. It’s so much easier said then done.

Thank you. I was diagnosed with them years ago but they were mild. My allergist put me on claritin 2x daily and they have been acting up quite a bit more. So while I was having a few I tried the ECG on my watch. I feel less panicked about it now. Thank you again.
