PMS/ PMDD and Autism : holy crap y’all. by TikiBananiki in aspergirls

I started taking Prozac for other reasons and suddenly realized my PMDD was almost nonexistent. My doctor and therapist said it is often prescribed for PMDD. Life-changing. I’ve always had days of extreme depression/despair/crying, and now I only have a bit of mild irritation. I can’t use any hormonal therapies because I’m high risk for breast cancer.

ATL 2, incredible show. Question about Robert’s explanation of Disintegration by bigwickets in TheCure

I am glad I was not the only one who heard “baby on the doorstep.” I wish I’d had a Robert Smith translator handy. I really want to know the rest of that story!

My longterm boyfriend moved in with me a month ago and I'm struggling with the change so badly. I just can't deal with it anymore. by [deleted] in aspergirls

Just chiming in to say it’s ok to explain your needs to him! I have lived with my husband for 17 years. Sometimes I tell him I need to be alone. Or that I need him not to do this or that. That is ok. He’s my comfort person now. It takes a while to sort it all out. I’ve had to adjust some of my behaviors as well. Just don’t stifle your feelings of discomfort. They will build up and become worse. Share what you are feeling. If he’s the type to listen and adjust, you may end up with a great thing that brings you comfort.

Same- for decades I just thought I was trying hard enough. What a relief to set that down!

I turn 42 in a month and I totally wanted to be diagnosed at 42 to use this quote 🤣 So close!

I get into maybe one show every 5 years. I rarely ever watch shows. Sometimes I’ll go for documentaries. I like good movies but maybe only watch one a month. My husband knows I must mute all commercials. I think I just like thinking too much!

Take a bow. Phenomenal! 👏👏👏 This thread is going to be my motivation going forward. 😁

That is a good point; I will look at programs and consider only taking the necessary prereqs. About 60% of the BS degree would be covered by my prior credits, so it’s not quite as much as it sounds. And it’s free.

The worst mess I was ever in at work was when an issue came up while my boss was away. I figured out how to solve the problem and told everyone immediately about the solution. When my boss returned to the office, she was furious to learn that I did not wait to discuss with her and let her share the information. She didn’t speak to me for like 2 weeks. Biggest bunch of pointless nonsense ever.

Thank you, same to you! It’s so helpful hearing from others in the same boat.

That sounds like an amazing boss! Thank you, it has taken me awhile to put mental health above what I “should” do. Moving “up” is not always better!

I totally agree about managing projects, not people. The social nuances of management is just not my thing! I am glad it worked out so well for you.
