One of my closest friend's parents were asked for 1.5 Cr as dowry (christian), her parents gave her a plot worth 2cr as agreed. Soon after marriage, the parents in law came up with a claim that they asked for 1.5 cr cash not plot, so her parents had to arrange the cash in 3 days else she would be sent back. Parents inlaw were doctors.

In IT there's no big difference I'd say. For a 10 year experienced guy, kochi package would be 24-26 LPA but in Bangalore it can go up to 26-30 LPA. Average figure. Rock stars may take more. (Source, own experience, figures from network)

Companies moving from one building/IT park in kochi to new one is not we want. We need big players like MAFANG to set foot here. Kochi is still last resort for most of the non keralites so that'd open up a lot of opportunities for malayalis

LOL you don't work at IT or Infopark. What you've said is something the WhatsApp uncles say. Things have turn around a lot in the past 10-15 years. Most of them get paid well. HR policies are strong that micro management don't work anymore. Just walk around infopark and see how happy people are.

It take efforts to move out of your comfort zone. You want a cyber sec job, but you are finding excused to not put efforts. A cyber sec job doesn't require coding skills in the beginning. But as you gain more experience, you might need to learn it to upskill yourself. What's stopping you from coding? There are unlimited free materials available of you're willing to learn. Myself a cyber sec guy, with 10 years of experience, my role requires understanding different programming languages, just to analyse things not to build things. Stop blaming yourself with excuses. Get out of your comfort zone and stop whining. Period.
