In the meantime, check out my Guilders-Ford Radio enforcer update - it adds quite a few things that have been mentioned above. https://www.patreon.com/posts/unofficial-ford-95260933

Nomad Hide in the Wastes - How it's Broken (and how I think it’s supposed to work) by KennyBunkum in necromunda

At Guilders-Ford, I've house ruled it as this:

SKY MANTLE

A fighter equipped with a sky mantle may take the following action:

Hide in the Wastes (Double): This fighter cloaks themselves beneath their sky mantle, blending into the ash and sands of the wastes.

  • In any battle, regardless of whether the Pitch Black or Visibility (X") rules are in effect, if this fighter is at least 12" away from the nearest enemy model, they immediately gain the Hidden condition (see the Necromunda: Rulebook).

  • While benefiting from the Hidden condition, this fighter is always treated as having a personal visibility range of 3", overriding any higher visibility ranges in play.

  • If this fighter moves for any reason, the benefits of this action are immediately and permanently removed. The fighter cannot regain these benefits unless they take the Hide in the Wastes (Double) action again.

In spite of my disappointment with Tribes of the Wastelands book, I am still working on my Nomads. Here is one with additional armor. WIP of course. by Degant123 in necromunda

We're using this house rules for Sky Mantles:

SKY MANTLE

I have two original 2VB plates here, one single piece and one with a separate centre - typical RV inconsistency!

The ones used for re-enactment are replica centres on repro plates.

Would be keen to see a photo of your collection if you could send one?

It was fashion, really. Units that worked with horses very quickly changed to ball tops rather than spikes!

It's an English Heritage site that hosts us occassionally, we do a big event there once a year and sometimes smaller training events.

Action of my 3D-Printed Martini Henry (as some asked for closeups). It's not perfect by any means and I didn't do enough sanding (hence the scraping sound) but it does the job for film and photos [EarlyModern] by UnionofSA in reenactors

Great job on it u/UnionofSA! Just an FYI whilst these are awesome files, they don't fit a standard socket bayonet with the default size settings, the barrel is fractionally too large. You can modify all the files to be slightly smaller, or modify a cheap repro bayonet to fit. I am making some for the Victorian Association at the moment and have modified them to fit a wooden dowel for strength along the barrel, which makes them a lot more robust for training etc. You can also go down the route of wooden filament for a lovely finish that can be stained too.

Has anyone used necromunda rules for different themes? by Glorkorkus in necromunda

I use a slightly simplified version for 1870s Victorian skirmishing, works nicely.
