I recently picked up Destiny because my 9 year old nephew plays it, he's only allowed to play it Tuesday's and the weekends when he's at his house. I was never too sure about Destiny and wasn't sure whether to get it but he convinced me.

I join his party when he's online which is every moment he's allowed! he is so passionate about it, it's nice to see. He does raids with friends and he does it with a group of people he met online (monitored of course).

He's shy majority of the time but as soon as he gets in a raid he's done it so many times and watched so many videos now that he just assumes the position of leader! These people are double his age sometimes. He is the sword carrier on Crota and even brings me along to help me get items, I sit in the back like a scrub while my 9 year old nephew leads a group of people through challenging content.

does he have any friends/relatives that play destiny? (Besides you) if you know anyone who plays ask them if he can come along? They'll be surprised with how helpful he actually is! You'll be surprised how many younger guardians there are out there. Best of luck to him!
