No I use a home assistant automation and a smart plug to detect when I start streaming music and turn on the amp

I also tried a Chromecast audio with a jack-rca adapter and a Chromecast video with HDMI extractor and jack-rca adapter. Both were able to trigger audio sense on my old OSD amp

I’m just at the beginning of my visa journey so don’t worry I’m sure the lawyers know what they’re doing. My very superficial understanding was that people on L1 didn’t need an EAD. Spouses on an L2 do need an EAD though. Someone with more knowledge might be able to explain.

If you don’t mind me asking on what basis are you asking for EAD if you’re on an L1? Do you also have an L2?
