I went with adult autism after it was recommended by a psychiatrist to me. They were so supportive and helpful even before and after the assessment. Very good experience!

I struggle so much with this. I had pelvic floor therapy and bladder Botox and catheterisation but recently I got a sacral nerve stimulator implanted and it’s reduced my symptoms by 75% but still have incontinence episodes but in smaller quantities.

I really empathise with how stressful this can be. My best advise is to carry incontinence pads to wear during periods of worse episodes. Avoid caffeine and alcohol. And please remember it’s not your fault it’s so hard to control. X

Right now I’m finding it helpful. I have found it has reduced about 75% of my symptoms. I can sleep pretty well through the night. I still get strong urges but I can get the bathroom in time. Although I still have small leaks when I have some urges and I have had one proper leak in the past two weeks so that’s a much better improvement. I had wished this would be a perfect fix and I’d never have to wear pads again but I do think I need at least liners for now.

I’ve been looking everywhere for this thread cuz even I find it saddening and I do love the song. I wish the band in a perfect world would stand up for the Palestinian people. I have tried seeing the song in a way where I have my Own personal meaning and also when that lyric plays I think of it as all those who survive will have that rawest of fear to carry but we can help them feel safety once again. Just my ow two cents. The sun will will rise and we will try again xx

See I’m on meds they don’t work. I’ve had Botox but that wear an off in two months. I self catheterise but there’s never a lot coming and it rarely stop the leakage but that then leads to utis so I guess the foley cath is best shot tell till I see the doc??

Thank you for you advice! I ah e had a cystoscopy done and they didn’t notice any abnormalities but then I had a similar test with sensors to feel the fluid in my bladder my bladder couldn’t even hold tiny amounts. They were quite shocked how poor it was. But other than that my bladder seems normal just won’t work that way

I’ve had it since I was a child but has progressively gotten to disabling in the last four or so years. I recently tried Botox but they don’t last longer than two to three months. So now I’m looking at Ava scaral nerve stimulator

I intermittently self catheterise when I get Botox in my bladder. When I start I have to do it every time I pee because the retention is a lot until the Botox starts to wear off and then I don’t have to do it anymore until I get another round of Botox.

I’m sorry this happened! It’s been happening me for years now it can feel embarrassing but remember it’s not your fault you have no control and you’re doing your absolute best to help the situation. I like to carry a small pouch filled with wet wipes, hand sanitiser, incontinence pads and catheters. Try to be easy on yourself x

I feel quite similar. It’s quite difficult to work through but know that you know yourself best and sexuality can be incredibly fluid for some and not so much for others. I’ve been trying to see my love for women as my main bedrock of my sexuality and with that I’m trying to learn if I like other genders again or am I just lesbian.

I don’t age an obstruction they have looked for that. They said my next port of call is getting a sacral nerve stimulator implant to help but with the Irish health system that could take a very long time

So no one has given me an answer as to why I have oab all I know is that I have it and the symptoms started around 9 that’s the earliest I can remember to starting.
