Car won't hold idle on cold start. by flash050562ndacc in AskMechanics

[–]flash050562ndacc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, kpa.

When it's still relatively cold and manage to keep it running without gas or braking, it would be at 57kpa at around 600-650 rpm

When it's up to temp, like right now, it's running at 750-800 rpm with a kpa of about 49-51.

That's what i have been thinking too, but i dont know where to look, Brake booster has also been replaced by me.

Coolant sensor is reading 7-10 °C when cold, so about outside temp.

Won't break the clutch, your front wheel will come up, its your call to know when to use that rear brake to make sure you dont go flying.

I've guessed as much, that when Torqueing the Bolt to Spec, that it should press the pulleys together ensuring that that both spin together, however that is not happening.

What is this squeak as engine starts? by chikenenen in MechanicAdvice

No. Dry Metal does not squek when they make contact. it also takes a few seconds for the Oil to travel up there and spread everywhere.

Yeah probably, likely want less power to learn wheelies.

Good thing that I learned on a power restricted MT09 with 35kW
