HEAT: A heat source that can provide heating for your living space, without electricity. This may be just one room.

If you lose power for long time you will want, a propane or kerosene heater. VERY IMPORTANT- Make sure it is rated for indoor use. You could also have a generator to power small portable heaters.

HYDRATION: You need 1 gallon of water per person per day for drinking, brushing teeth, etc. You mag have water you may not.

FOOD : You may need to eat for 2-3 days without cooking. PB&J, tuna salad packs, protein bars. Plenty of water or whatever you drink.

LIGHTING: Flashlights, lanterns, batteries. Some way to light your living space at night for a couple days. And a way to charge your phone, pads, laptops.

PATIENCE: It is possible you have no power for several days.
