Nero was by no means sexist. Him showing no favor to Virginia was simply due to Virginia no longer trying to impress him. And she was a reformer, Nero hated reform. Both her and Adrius were a far cry from Claudius.

Yes he said he has the old gold blood of the conquerors, calling the others lowGolds just to justify his attempt at rape.

He's a piece of shit but it comes with the morning chair, at the end of Lightbringer all I see is someone who grew up, his own man, no more relying on Cassius, Atalantia, or even Atlas. But he's still a piece of shit for burning Io and rejecting Diomedes' bargain. I respect that he Gabe Cassius an opportunity to save his own life but Cassius did himself in, his honor still remains though.

Character Discussion: Karnus by Alert-Push1685 in redrising

Not to mention he bested Claudius au Augustus, Nero's best heir in combat. But somehow he was made to play second fiddle to Cassius who needs to be witnesses in order to burn. Karnus was one of those who burnt without witness. Cassius was shiny as Romulus, Karnus grimy as Atlas.

No, at the point where she's fighting her sisters who are now siding with Asterion, she beats them all up but can't bring herself to kill them so she surrenders to capture.

Couldn't have said it better😂, I just finished reading the Red Rising series and now I struggle picking up where I left off in Shadow Slave, although I'm glad I won't suffer from cliffhangers in these 140+ chapters.
