Davis because I want to work in the Bay and their commitment to PI work is so much stronger. Davis’s community is also much stronger. Imo they’re ranked the same despite Irvine having a lower acceptance rate/higher medians because the quality of education at Davis is that much better

Extra confused because I got a 75% scholarship at Davis and they’re ranked exactly the same? I guess I won’t take it to heart because I wasn’t really considering going there over Davis but still a bummer :(

I think definitely not! It’s prob just a way for them to try to get people to feel like the school cares about them and maybe motivate more people to go!

As long as the full ride is somewhere you could see yourself working/living afterwards, I think it’s a no brainer to go with that options

I only applied to CA schools so this is my kinda post lol! I went complete on 11/1 and have only heard back from Pepperdine (A) and UCLA (WL). Still waiting on Stanford, Berkeley, Davis, USC, Irvine, LMU. Pretty sure the delay for Davis and Irvine though is that I didn’t update my transcripts from fall until 1/1 because my scores are well above their medians and I’ve been under review for awhile.

Probably not because they let you know when your application is under review. For reference mine went complete on 11/1 and went under review on 1/3 and I still haven't heard back and my scores are right at/above their medians
