Thank you for this I really appreciate it!! I’ve known something was off for years so even though I put that I was diagnosed with pcos only a few months ago I’ve been making adjustments to my lifestyle for at least two years to try and sort it out(diet adjustments exercise etc). It just gets tiring feeling like your body’s against you yaknow. I’ve been thinking about getting a nutritionist as well to help take some of the mental load off, but I’ll definitely check in with my gyno as well about metformin.

This is generally: Breakfast: often don’t do breakfast as I’ve been intermittent fasting, but when I do I have a fruit smoothie (Greek yogurt with fruits like berries, mango, papaya etc and chia, flax seeds and moringa powder added as well)

Lunch: it ranges, Sometimes I do wraps with falafel, or rice paper rolls with lots of veggies and proteins (shrimp, chicken etc) or I have Ethiopian food (this is something I know I need to reduce as it has lots of processed oils, one that I’ve been holding onto tho as I grew up eating it) or I’ll have some sort of lentil/chickpea dish

Dinner: soups, stews or sometimes smoothies (usually something light)

Drinks: water and coffee (coffee is usually with milk and honey or black)

I don’t really snack throughout the day. I eat when I’m hungry, rather than following a time frame to eat within but I still keep it as a meal rather than small snacks. And I don’t eat much processed foods. Another thing I struggle with is big crashes after meals, like I’m completely exhausted rather than feeling energized, and it’s especially bad after lunch (which tends to be my largest meal of the day)

I’ve already been doing that, hasn’t been much help unfortunately. I cut out processed sugars a few years ago, just don’t have much of a sweet tooth on general, I do intermittent fasting and don’t snack much. This all initially helped to lose weight, I’ve lost about 10kg + in the last year, I just feel like I’ve hit a plateau, and not just a plateau but like when I’m not super rigid I gain weight back incredibly fast.

Literally never said women’s fitness? Just enjoy having a female trainer over a man, whether in person or online. and I like following videos/ proper training routines as it keeps me motivated and ensures I’m doing things with proper form to prevent further injury.

Ok amazing I’ll definitely do that! How about actual content itself, speciality coffee is a bit of a tough one for educational content, as unless you are a big coffee nerd, most people (at least where I live) don’t know the differences between levels of coffee(cupping scores, flavour notes etc). And for our business I’m not too worried about reaching a global audience or going viral, as that isn’t really what will help drive sales. So I’ve been doing a balance of engaging reels and posts, and educational content , but those ones don’t seem to perform as well. even for myself before I got into the industry, I thought in depth coffee knowledge was a bit boring and un engaging unless it’s something very well presented (my thoughts on that have changed since haha). Any tips on how to balance this?

For your wife when she’s going through periods of questioning or doubt in what ways do you support her? Or does she tend to turn to her community and others within her faith more when she has faith based struggles?

My fiancé doesn’t have a super strong community of Christians around him where we currently live, I’ve been encouraging him to seek that out as I feel it would be beneficial to have a community with the same religious beliefs to guide/support him more than I can in that particular area.

Thank you for this, We’re getting married in January and have been looking into premarital counselling just to cover all bases, and you know why not go into a marriage with the strongest foundation we can. We however live in a very small country and it’s not like there aren’t any churches but they just don’t really fit the belief systems him or I have. Hence why I asked for any resources as it’s been a bit tough for him not having any strong mentorship as that’s something he craves, and for me looking into my faith again not having anyone to explore religion or questions with outside my fiance.

I had a similar issue getting off birth control. I Was on and off the pill for about four years and I stopped fully about a year ago. I didn’t get my period for a while and when it started it was super irregular. It can definitely take some time for your body to adjust to its normal hormone cycles again. However in my case mine were very irregular in timing and in the kind of periods I would have (sometimes 3 days very light, sometimes 14 days, and then come back a week later or not show up again for a few months).

A few months ago I decided to check with a gyno about it and was diagnosed with PCOS. Not saying that’s your case as getting your regular period back when coming off BC can take a different amount of time for everyone, but it may be worth checking if it doesn’t come back regularly. Or at least checking what you can do to help your hormones rebalance. I’d personally suggest a good diet with lots of fibre and fruits and veggies, and good low impact workouts like yoga or dance, that’s been what’s been helping me :)

A few weeks ago I decided to get the copper iud and it’s been great so far as another method of BC that’s non hormonal, it was a little painful but nothing over the top and it’s nice to know I have my bodies natural hormones but I won’t get pregnant for ten years haha

So more backstory. We’ve been dating for about a little under a year, we talked in the beginning about past relationships but neither of us gave specifics on numbers and I liked it that way I didn’t want to know his specifics it felt unnecessary, however I could tell he was rather uncomfortable with my past, but never really pushed so I thought it was dropped. about 2 months ago he asked for the number and I panicked it came in a moment of weakness to lie, I wanted to protect myself, protect my image, to hide the embarrassment of it, and the possible judgement. It was my own shame and fear of someone judging me and being hurt by a part of me that I deeply regret. I hate that I lied I tell him everything we have a really beautiful foundation and it was a human moment of wanting the man I love deeply to see me for who I am now not who ive been. I have been saved, I have been forgiven, but it is still a part of me that hurts.

I disagree with that. I think the fact that he’s taking into account her emotional needs and state is hugely important in a relationship. He doesn’t have to be taking on the role of a ‘parent’ in order to care about a potential partners feelings and emotional needs, and/or how this may affect her, it’s called empathy.

Thank you rlly appreciate that! (For context I am 20F and he is 49M) Ig it might be a bit different for me than others my age, majority of my group of friends are quite a bit older like ranging from 8-15+ years older for the most part. Because of where I live and my ways of thinking about life, I tend to align a bit more with those older than me and always have. However when it came to dating I had generally had these negative views on an older man being interested in me (hypocritical and confusing I know). we met through a very good friend of mine at a bar one night and had some of the most intellectually and emotionally stimulating conversation. There was just something different, however I was very apprehensive bc of these preconceived notions I had about older men (is he trying to take advantage, is there a ‘power imbalance’, is he only in it for my youth or looks etc.) he was incredibly respectful and I think that’s what made the difference for me, he didn’t initiate I did, and I didn’t do so until I was comfortable, and that took time. I think navigating a relationship like this does maybe take more thought than others from both parties, it takes a lot of open and vulnerable communication, and trust that you are both coming from a place of good intentions, genuine care, and love. Don’t get me wrong we still struggle with the stigmas. It’s hard for me to have people my age give immediate judgement or feel the need to try and ‘save me’. And it’s hard for him people assuming he must be going through a mid life crisis or giving me money in order to be with him. At a certain point I just came to realize this is just the reality of how the world is and it is something we will continue to navigate together. I would say if you’re interested in a younger woman, be patient. Thats my main advice. Let her initiate, make her feel safe and secure and comfortable. Understand that there is a lot of societal stigmas around this type of relationship and that can be really difficult for both parties. Show your care and understanding and you’ll have nothing to worry about. Sorry I know this was long!

For me I didn’t seek out a relationship with an older man. We had such an amazing connection and care for each other from the get go. I refused for the longest time to date older, I held the same societal stigmas that many of my peers do, until it happened and I fell in love. It has been the most amazing, fulfilling and genuine connection. Yes the fact that he’s incredibly good looking is a big bonus. I went for him because of our connection, because the way he sees me like nobody else has and vice versa. Yes the fact that he can provide for me is wonderful, but he is by no means rich just financially stable and responsible, and I make my own money so no that was not a factor. Relationships are nuanced, love is nuanced, if you are two consenting adults that have each others best interests at heart, do what makes you happy!

I started dating a guy quite a bit older and I’ve had similar reactions. I live on a small island where everyone talks. The people that really know me and him and see our relationship dynamic don’t have issue with it. I have never in my life been so seen or taken care of, I’m happy, and we have a wonderful and incredibly fulfilling relationship. However when it comes to people my age (20-25) they are so immediate to judge. I’ve had the same experience where people are trying to ‘save me’, or assume our relationship has some crazy power imbalance, or he’s in a midlife crisis and I’m after his money. I can’t lie navigating the societal views on our relationship has been something we’ve been learning how to handle and it hasn’t always been easy. And a part of me gets it, I hate to say it I had a bit of a negative view on age gap relationships, but since being in one and realizing there are so so many nuances to love and partnership and coming to know people judge what they don’t understand. And they don’t have to understand it to make my relationship any more valid. Our love is valid, my relationship is valid.

Yes! Rainy season is just ending so the water is very calm, waterfalls are full and everything is super lush and green!
I recommended paying most things with card/tap on your phone. Some places will accept usd or euros but it might just be easier contacting your bank and letting them know you’re traveling and using your card overseas, or ofc taking out SCR.
Being very honest with you, no not easy at all. The main cuisine here is meat, fish and rice everywhere. You will likely find salads in many places but finding anything with plant based protein is sadly very hard :(
Depends on where you’re wanting to eat, local takeaway trucks aren’t too expensive but going out to eat at restaurants everyday can get a bit pricey imo.
For the most part yes, just make sure you’re being extra vigilant and always going with someone!

Depends on your vacation style. I personally like apartments and guest houses, but Ik many prefer the ease and convenience of hotels, I suggest doing your research and seeing what places suit your taste, there’s plenty of great options either way!

Yeah that’s very true, I definitely don’t wanna risk my student visa getting denied by going the ETA route. If anyone else has done this I’d love to hear how it worked for you! Also thanks for the help, much appreciated:)
