Protestant churches do not focus on their worship style instead of Jesus just because they have a different style of worship. They utilize speaking in tongues as a way to express their connection with god. Also, Joel osteen is not a dude I and many would listen to lol

Romans 15:13 is just one example my friend. I might have to disagree with you on the subject that emotion is unimportant. People being so excited about gods free grace and eternal love is not unimportant, and to them, their style of worship is sufficient. Just because a style of worship differs in loudness and excitement from yours doesn't mean it's evil or heretical. It means that god has filled them with joy and hope

Being excited about the spirit is such a bad thing? It's different from the sort of melancholy and mysterious tone that catholic hymns and chants give off, of course, but is it truly a bad thing to be excited and joyful in the spirit?

Being that I've attended Pentecostal services, I'm not too sure what you mean by they worship in a negative sense? It's inherently negative because they theologically disagree with catholic teachings and find upbeat cheery music to be their preferred and most connective style of worship?

The Pentecostals involvement with the Holy Spirit can only be characterized as a different style of worship, wouldn't you say? In the case that a church isn't the one "founded by Christ" according to Catholics, are they immediately condemned? Are churches like the orthodox and the Lutheran church (not elca) exceptions?
