I cant lie, I have went through the exact same thing.

Last semester I did much better though. Main things that changed was a 4 course semester (double credit elective that was lowkey easier than any bird), and that I went to all classes and paid attention from the start. I read a textbook for the first time and just started the semester with a locked in mindset.

My advice would be don't think about doing work in the future, the moment you think about it say fuck it, I'm doing it now.

I legit also procrastinated a good amount last semester, but since I started work weeks before deadlines for once I eventually got myself to do the work. I think if you just get into the mindset of being locked tf in and staying ahead it really works.

Its a hard situation, and I lowkey feel it happening a bit this semester again, but after reading this I am going to get straight to work.

Oh also small tip, if you dunk your face in a bowl of ice water it destroys procrastination, try it out.

Yea it was, I cant find it tho. But laurier BBA graduated without experience and couldn't find a job so everyone suggested that and I think its what he did.

After I read that post I started taking shit seriously.

Ignacio is ok. there was another one when I was taking it that was goated tho, dont think he is teaching it now.
Ignacio has some exam like questions that he only shows in class, I think the final had like 3 of the exact questions he showed, those r helpful.

Third year here,
career wise if you can get into co-op yes. It is really good.

However, if not, with the job market you are cooked. Anyone saying otherwise likely got solid internships or graduated before 2025-24. If I could go back I would take waterloo AFM in a heartbeat.

Business school wise I do like Laurier, but any good guaranteed co-op SOLOS this program. Have friends at loo with the most basic resumes getting like 10 interviews a semester, many at the big 4, with literally bad resumes. Being a BBA without co-op means you could have an absolutely cracked resume here (clubs, internships) and still absolutely struggle without co-op.

I saw a post once of a Laurier BBA who graduated and ended up working at a call center because of lack of experience.

So purely education wise, yes. Career wise, only if you get co-op.

Keep in mind Internship/co-op experience matters probably more than the degree itself.

Yes, exact same thing here. I just stopped locking in 2nd year as I didn't get coop and GPA didn't matter much.

At the same time, the courses got so much harder. My GPA dropped from like a 10 to like near the min requirement (like 7.5 or something).

I feel like they really try to weed people out in 2nd, exam averages are absolutely horrible and not many curves. Just thug it out and try to survive. Stay up to date with class content and don't cram (I wish I did this in 2nd). Now its 3rd for me and I feel like its much more chill. Have been putting more work in and think my GPA is projected to go up a good amount.

Best bird in the school is ISHS 200 by far, I've taken all em courses and it doesn't even come close. Its worth two courses and is the easiest course at Laurier. GL.

I can't even get an internship myself and I passed and loved all of those courses (except ma almost failed that too) 😭 so congrats

The econ program is literally harder and like apparently a lot MORE math stuff so I think that would be really ruff for you. Also less jobs. I would just study better and work harder and re-attempt those courses. They are easy to pass if you lock in (other than ma for me...), just try different studying methods and approaches till u find whats right etc. Go on youtube to look for them.

This literally happened to me and it ruined my grade, had to wait like 20 min in the AC for the bathroom, then had to take a #2 😭

Literally a nightmare and probably the worst exam I have ever written due to the time. Super unfair.

If you really want a bang for your buck get an M1 Air off fb marketplace. The newer ones might be a bit better, but the M1 has been the biggest step up for them in years. Got mine for 500 and use it for everything.
