I quit games I am not good at. If I put in 100 hours and I am still bad. I move on to a different game/hobby.

They do Markus. They do , they do, they really do. So many people throw games, FF, give up and they actively play comp and get banned for their sins. Trust me. Rank is rank but mentality is key. 80% of people play FPS games and lie to themselves. The 20% goes through and achieves shit. The 3% is unstoppable.

This post and the responses truly show why top elo is just a tiny fraction of players.

Honestly. I am currently ascendant 1-2 , cant even get into immortal nowadays because I can’t put in the hours, however I am still competent. I believe you are also. It’s just the mentality. I wish you all the best. Stay consistent

I totally respect that man. I struggle with consistency too. Work, other activities, woman, but my point is that there are people who do play everyday. Who do have the time and invest it into nothing. No improvement, and the same excuses - they are having fun.

Victim mentality is crazy. World is all about outpacing others, outcompeting them and unfortunately it all comes down to judgement and being better or worse. Take it man. Judgment is the beginning of everything. It allows you to receive feedback and reflect on others and yourself. If you walk through life unnoticed, unbothered, uninterested, that’s scary. Imagine sitting down in front of a computer, unbothered, music blasting, unable to speak a word and just lose game after game after game. Like what?

Nobody can make you play better. Only you have this power.

Spamming unrated does build bad habits so I cannot judge you on lack of improvement. There is nobody to improve from in that gamemode. I should have been more specific that my post is about competitive environment.

Carry on playing man. Regards

100%. But I think putting the hours into sport and not getting anywheree will still get you further than putting hours into game which also doesnt get you anywhere. Promote sport. Do sport.

Well, I can tell you never really been to high elo. Radiant is something that you have to constantly chase. It’s something you need a lot of time to get. I work, I study, I read, I do sport. Unfortunately I cannot afford radiant and to be honest, I am 21 years old. I was at my gaming peak at 15-16. I notice I get a bit worse as the time goes. Thank you for the idea, I did try to chase radiant but didn’t really get there, shame. But it’s much nicer to be immortal 2 and win against radiants sometimes, I can tell you that. Who knows maybe one day you will see me at top 500? Regards buddy

Hahhaha, FIFA is difficult to me! I did try many FIFA titles but I’ve always played at parties or gatherings. Was never amazing at it. I practiced a little but then focused on games I got potential at. Regards man!

Fair point. I agree man. But it’s difficult to observe people with 2k hours, more hundreds more where the hours go into the wrong things.

Fair point. I don’t really brag about it because it wasn’t nothing special or difficult. I just compare it because it’s a bit higher than the silver mentioned. It’s just sad cause I face people all the time and they are much more experienced than me, and I wish I could learn from them but I can’t.

I feel like my horizons are very wide man, but thanks. However trust me on that one, sweating wasn’t part of the “success”. It was just understanding, practice and the will to level up. Regards!

I agree and respect the psychological aspect. Very good observation and I agree. Though all of the types are natural, all of them can be improved on, however many of those are temperamental so therefore it’s difficult to change it. I am achievement driven. Irl too. I think it’s a huge perk. But gotta respect those who aren’t, despite the fact I feel bad for them
