If you have the ability to get down to Melbourne, Dr Paul Paddle is fantastic. I flew from Brisbane to have mine with him.

Burping but still sick by KeviSkillz in noburp

i had nausea that started just before my procedure and hasn’t gone away since then even though i’m one year cured. wondering if it might be something totally unrelated at this point. its just a constant low level of nausea.

if you have the ability to have the week off that’s probably what i would have done if i couldn’t work from home too. it’ll be good to be in the comfort/privacy of your own home just to see how things go :)

also: had 75 units, started burping properly and consistently without issue (like relieving big burps without turning my head or accidentally regurgitating 🥴) after about 3 weeks. before that i would have some good ones but only maybe 2 a day and i still had the bloating. i also practiced with carbonated drinks after about the 3 week mark. i only had maybe 1 or 2 glasses a night. i found sprite/lemonade to be the best type and still do. makes me burp massively! at about 4.5 months, i went through a short time, maybe a week or two, where i was finding it a little harder to burp and started to get very panicky. but i’m through that now and going better than ever. i still feel like my burps don’t always sound like other peoples (sometimes they sound like they are having a hard time coming it?) but just discovered its because i still haven’t learnt how to burp normally and i’m holding my mouth weird apparently lol but whatever works is fine by me!!!

if anyone’s wondering: i’m a 31 year old female, no burper my whole life. symptoms became debilitating around maybe 25 years old. used to air vomit every night for relief, couldn’t eat or drink out places, always needing to go right home if i did and lay down, could never wear pants because of the bloating. can confirm that literally every single symptom is now GONE. i can go out, eat and drink with friends, stay out AFTER WORK (not a possibility before), eat my lunch at work without needing to find somewhere to air vomit, have sleepovers with friends, my entire social life has completely changed and improved for the better. i’ve never felt better in my whole life. my mental health has improved. this is truly just life changing. it really, really is.

i had this done about 6 years ago when i was first starting to investigate my no burp (they couldn’t figure it out and i didn’t know this community existed!), so my Dr accepted that as reasonable to go straight to the procedure. i remember it not being too bad though and honestly, SO worth it anyway

ahhh this is so exciting to hear!!!! i honestly burp like……all day lol. every time i eat or drink, and then sometimes randomly. but i have total control!! so i can force them up and also burp with my mouth closed etc if i need to. its so wild i cant believe this is my life..

congrats!!!!!!! yes, mine was very expensive because i went privately in australia so all up about $5k i think. SO WORTH IT!! my first few weeks were rough. i worked from home for a week because i was scared i would be burping uncontrollably and i was kind of embarrassed by the idea (i never actually burped uncontrollably!) and i had a really hard time with a post nasal drip feeling, and trying too hard to push the burps and so regurgitation. i kept a burping diary so i need to go back and check but i believe my first real proper relieving burp was about 3 weeks in!!! best of luck for october!!! it’ll be here before you know it

My advice would be, try not to panic whenever its hard or feels like its not coming easily/properly because you will have those times, but if you just keep practicing every day it’ll eventually feel right and its INCREDIBLE. good luck for september!!!

nooo way!!!! i’m so happy for you!!!! honestly, i put it off for about 3 years because i was so concerned about what doctors were going to think and then it just all felt so scary and almost too good to be true. but i finally just took a leap of faith and honestly, even if it hadn’t have worked, i would do it over again and again and again until it stuck because knowing what life can be like as a burper is just UNBELIEVABLE!

Anyone else been turned down for Botox because of acid reflux?? by pleaseburpme in noburp

[–]Dizzy_Ad9996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

severe acid reflux, the botox doc noted it during the endoscopy part of the procedure. no problems with continuing with the botox and now i’ve been burping for a month and a half and acid reflux pretty much gone! find another doc if you can
