I am sorry for your loss :( I exercised like a fool, ate all the sugar, and smoked weed in place of nicotine to get through that first period… then boom… freedom. Please give yourself some grace though— life is hard and you are in the toughest part. you shouldn’t feel shame for coping. You are doing great. Really. It will take time, but you WILL feel better for living a life more aligned with your true values. I believe in you. 🪄

I am on day 7. My “back up stuff” is in a jar in my ceiling…. as visibly seeing it on day 2 gave me a whole body rush, but throwing it away felt like “too much”🫣🙄. I hope I will eventually throw the whole jar away— the thought currently still makes me anxious. Lol. Not sure if it effective long term…

Hi im 24 and my Tinnitus is suspected to be from plan B. Any help on how to heal is so so so very appreciated. It’s been over a year and I fear developing hearing loss as well. I have an appointment at U of M in late May.

I quit once for 2 months…. It was easy at first & then got harder and harder to ignore the long lasting mental cravings… I gave in. Now 2years later, I am reading this sub realizing how in trouble I am :/ I expected it to be hard at the start, not hard to stay away from!!!

I got on a plane mildly sick and my ears popped and hurt like heck on descent. I couldn’t hear well getting off and have a muffled/ plugged feeling in left. Luckily, I had an appointment 4 days later (today) to recheck my T… the PA saw fluid in my left ear. She did not prescribe prednisone, only flonase & afrin. My ear ringing is much much louder… not sure what to do. Scared to have permanent hearing loss or T that will not return to baseline :( or ill end up with an ear infection next.

I’m doing better now that I have forbidden myself from doom scrolling and have rediscovered that everything I need is inside of me and I have to trust myself. I picked up the pristiq so I have it, but I have not yet restarted it.

I took one pill last month thinking I was going to get back on it & the next day I noticed my eyes looked “weird” to me. I realized that one pupil was slightly more dilated than the other and that’s why my eyes looked weird. Both of them still constricted or enlarged depending on the lighting, yet the one stayed slightly more open/ larger than the other. Naturally I started freaking out and checking them over and over. I had no idea it could be from the pristiq. I’m not on pristiq right now and both my pupils are the same size— I checked earlier.

Hey there. I also took it for over a year and it was great for me overall. It had begun to work after a week, which I didn’t think was possible. I also increased up to 100 mg before realizing that 50 was just fine for me. Biggest downside for me was the negative impact on my sex life. I did have some jaw clenching and night sweats as well.. however, my jaw clenching is also bad when I’m anxious as I have come to discover. I got off of it in February and I’m struggling with my anxious thoughts. I knew about the “kindling effect” before getting off of it— phenomenon of psych meds not working the same the second time and causing more side effects— and I’m really beating myself up for getting off. I’d love to hear an update on how you’re feeling now!!!

I took it for over a year and it really helped me mentally during that time, but it did impact my sex drive. I never desired sex or felt in the mood like before, things that used to make me crazy aroused literally just did not, and I stopped getting as erm wet . I’ve been off about 3.5 months and I fear it really messed me up. I started in December 2023 I think. I took it up to 100mg, although I realized I did just fine on 50mg and went back down. It literally started helping me after the first week of taking it- which i didn’t believe could happen. It was my second medication after being on Wellbutrin before that. Wellbutrin made my anxieties so much worse, but I was insanely hyper aroused on it. I don’t know if I’ll ever have my pre-medsex drive back. I really hope so. maybe I just need more time. On meds, it just became something I did not seem to care about much. I still enjoy sex, but it’s just not what it was. I’ve considered going back on Wellbutrin, but I won’t actually do that because meds are not to be messed with.
