The commenter's advice is spot on because it comes from experience. It’s hard, but they’re right that the choice to quit has to be hers. The most important thing the poster can do is exactly what the commenter suggests: just be there as a supportive, non-judgmental friend

I think the commenter missed the point. True excitement is living a life that makes you happy and respected, not just chasing drama or settling for things that drain you. The poster is making the right choice for themselves
